Startled, the two girls raised their heads to look at Dt and stopped complaining.  They began to gossip in a whisper instead.  They probably thought that since the others were Asians, they could speak freely without any concern.  They talked fast and lightly, but both Ai Qing and Dt heard and understood their conversation.

Grunt walked in behind Dt.  He faced Ai Qing’s angry glare, but without much reaction.

Until the elevator stopped at the tenth floor, Grunt, Dt, and Ai Jing all followed behind Ai Qing, who was still dragging her sister’s luggage, out of the elevator.

Ai Qing paused and spoke without turning her head.  “Do you live on the tenth floor also?  If not, don’t follow us.”

Gun took them downstairs.  Ai Qing thought it odd that only she and Inin were there?  She looked around when they got downstairs.  The man ahead of her had already opened the door of the van and sat in.  He noticed her puzzlement.  “Those two have their own personal business to take care.  They left earlier.”

“Oh.”  Personal business?

K&K members really have a lot of personal business to attend to…...Furtively, she realized how easy it was in comparison to lead her own SP team.  They were a bunch of men who didn’t have any personal interests other than training and competing.

She got on the van and kept her comments to herself.

After about twenty minutes, they arrived at the hotel that had been arranged by the organizer.

It was close to the preliminaries.  Players from around the world had begun to arrive for the offline competition.  When they were checking in, there were two players from Korea next to them.  Inin was very familiar with them and pulled them over to introduce them to Ai Qing.

“Hello.”  Ai Qing held a passport in one hand and stretched out the other hand to shake with one of them.

A face came into her view unexpectedly.

Said face was making faces to her.

It came as quite the shock.  She didn’t expect to see Ai Jing here.

Qianxi quickly completed her termination procedure.  She didn’t have much work to transition to others since she had only been working for a week.

Ah, so sad.

Even sadder, her dad’s secretary informed her to go to the office of the Chairman of the Board.

Qianxi hesitated a little, then she went.

Ye Zhiliang’s eyebrows were tightly knitted.  “Have you finished the termination procedure?”

She lowered her head.  “Finished.”

“Were you nervous just now?”  After an unusually cordial dinner, it seemed only natural for Xia Liang to ride in Song Qiyan’s car, with her suitcase, back to Shanghai.  Xia Liang sat in the passenger seat. After she buckled her seatbelt, she couldn't stop herself from asking the man next to her.

The man on the driver’s seat pursed his lips.  The contours of the side of his face looked strong and clear.  He didn’t respond.

Xia Liang stuck out the tip of her tongue and suppressed the urge to smile.

She clearly knew, after being together for so long, that the question made him uneasy. Unsurprisingly, she secretly watched his face from the side and saw his ears in the sunset turn faintly pink.

Ah, so he was very nervous too.  She felt much better knowing that she wasn’t the only one.

Fortunately, she was a born socializer.  Though she was a tad reserved at first, after some food and a few bottles of beer, she felt like a honorary member of KG. She talked about everything with them. By the time the dinner table was littered with cups and plates, Li Cang, her new pal, exchanged contact information with her.  He told her to call them whenever she wanted to play.  They would still be friends even if the deal didn’t go through.

Cheng Yang poked his face with the beer bottle.  “What do you mean by that?  How would the deal not go through?  Young lady boss is already our lady boss!  Boss don’t you agree?”  He had a sly smile on his face.

Xu Jimo looked at him coldly.

Gun’s extremely dark eyes swept over Inin’s head.  “Are you making a joke?”

His displeasure was palpable.

“Yes, you’re making a joke,”  Ai Qing recovered quickly from her brief distraction.  Her finger poked Inin’s little face. “Have you forgotten?  That day at the offline preliminary competition in Hangzhou?  K&K boss’s girlfriend already showed up there.”

“Oh, oh,”  Inin was confused.  He thought for a long time, but still couldn’t figure out who that was.

Gun didn’t say anything.   Nobody knew whether it meant that he admitted it silently or he was simply too lazy to explain.

Dt came back later and found Gun in a deep sleep in his own seat.  He pondered silently on how to wake up the demon king and ask him to return to his own seat.

Ai Qing seemed to know what he was thinking and shook her head lightly.

So he gave up trying and stepped back two rows to sit in Gun’s seat.

When they arrived in America, the people waiting for them were all from K&K.  She realized one thing only after she came to America.  Though K&K invested in China only two years ago, it had already existed in other countries for five years. Despite being retired, Gun had never really left the professional scene.

K&K headquarters was in Norway, where Gun grew up.

And the year it was founded happened to be in ‘08.

After a long, drawn-out game, everyone was exhausted both mentally and physically. They all took off their earphones to get some rest.

Qianxi then found that it was dark outside already.

The sound of door opening came from the entrance.  Wei Lai, with a book bag on one shoulder, had returned from school and walked straight towards the training room.  “You guys are so diligent today.  You even do serious training though boss is not here?”  Then he walked in the room and was quite taken back.  “Eh, boss is here?  Is this boss’ girlfriend?”

The atmosphere suddenly froze.

After a while, Xia Liang raised her head from his chest and tenderly rubbed his chin. She spoke playfully.  “Ah Yan, how did you come here?  Wow, how did you know that I was here?”

Song Qiyan kissed her forehead and answered in an uncharacteristic indirect way. “What do you think?”

Xia Liang flattened her mouth. “I told you the name of the village……How did you find the house?  Ah, was it from Qian Qian?”  Lin Qian visited twice with her last summer.

Song Qiyan admitted quietly.

Xia Liang pouted. “Traitor.”

Sung Qiyan used his index finger to touch her lower lip. “Didn’t you want to see me?”

Xia Liang raised her head abruptly and viciously nodded like a puppy while clinging his arm. “Hehe, I certainly do……I really missed Ah Yan~”  She fawned excessively.

Song Qiyan watched her silently, but his eyes were smiling.

Xia Liang looked aside-----His eyes were too intense……she couldn’t bear it!

However, in front of many other computer screens, those who were friends with this alternate id had their eyes bulging out of their skulls: What the hell, did K god change his elegant and cool style and become a crossdresser?!

The innocent Qianxi, with this weird crossdresser id, started her first ranked game.

Xu Jimo frowned again.  Since this was KG’s first show in front of Qianxi, they couldn’t look too bad.  Li Cang was thinking the same as he prepared to get serious for the game.

Qianxi stared at the loading screen.  These boys were giggling just a second ago, but they all became different people as soon as they entered the game.  Their lips were pursed down and eyes focused.

She didn’t like long distance flights.  After they changed flights, she began to feel airsick.

All of sudden, someone touched her arm.

She opened eyes to see Dt handing her an eye mask he somehow acquired.

She opened her mouth with smile and whispered,  “Thank you.”

“I have an extra one.”  He said, showing the other one in his hand.

Go to sleep quickly.  Have a nice dream.  He thought.

Ai Qing accepted the eye mask and put it on.  It was so cool and soft that she fell soundly asleep shortly afterwards.

Usually her dreams while traveling were incoherent.

But this time, it was a rare exception.

Those were the only words Gun spoke during the entire forty minute bus ride.

The bus drove along the coast and hillside to the airport.  During the entire time, other than the exchanges between Inin and the driver, nobody spoke.

Ai Qing and Gun sat next to each other, but she remained as silent as her neighbor.

Behind them, Grunt attempted to strike a conversation with Dt to no avail.

“Ah Liang, come down, lunch is ready!”

Xia Liang was sprawled on the sofa watching a soap opera when she heard her grandmother.  She lept out of the sofa immediately and ran downstairs.

It was July.  Cicadas were singing outside the window.  It was much cooler inside the brick house in the peaceful countryside than in the city.  The air felt fresh and cool without the need of an air conditioner.

Grandma Lin had already set the table on the mahogany square table.  Though there were a few simple dishes in celadon bowls, they looked absolutely appetizing.

“Where’s grandpa?”  Xia Liang filled up two bowls of rice beside the stove before carrying them to the table.  Then she pulled out the long bench and sat down.

“The old man ate an early lunch and went out to play mahjong.”  Grandma Lin took a rice bowl, “We grow all these vegetables in our own field.  Eat more.  You’ll get a cold very easily.  You haven’t moved at all, even when I asked you to.  You just hide upstairs every day.”

“Hehe……,”  Xia Liang guiltily touched her nose and grabbed a chopstick full of vegetables.

Announcement: Gonna Be Busy for a Week

Hello all!

Just wanted to let our readers know that as a whole we'll be busy for the next week or so (roughly from Wednesday 7/5/17 to Sunday 7/9/17).  We still intend to try and get all of the chapters out on schedule, but apologies if we aren't able to get a chapter out this week.

As they arrived at Xu Jimo’s base, they could hear the familiar sound of laughter through the door.

Xu Jimo stopped to give her a warning first.  “They might be very noisy.”

Qianxi nodded several times.  “A group of boys.  I understand.”

“It’s not that kind of noise.”  Xu Jimo blinked and said lightly.  “You’ll know after you go in.”

As expected, the member of KG called out as usual,  “Boss,” “Boss you finally come back”.  But, they all fell silent when they saw Qianxi.

She knew very well before she left the hotel that this time her job wasn’t just to help Inin overcome his recent slump but also ensure he would make it to the semifinals and finals.  If he wanted to win the championship, then the last enemy he was going to face would be Dt.

She and Inin stood at the hotel entrance waiting for the shuttle bus to the airport.  Two people dressed in K&K uniforms also walked out pulling their luggage shortly afterwards.  It was Dt and Grunt.  

Obviously, they were waiting for the same shuttle bus.

Due to a lack of funds, as was the norm in China, few players participate in international offline competition.

Therefore, those who did participate would be organized into one team.  Most of them were top players and all knew each other quite well since they usually met in various occasions.  

In other words, she was entrusted with a difficult mission on short notice to form a team with these two K&K players.

That night she stayed inside her room.

The grilled salmon she ordered was so unpalatable that it almost made her cry.  When she complained about the room service meal to Baona.  He instead gave her a mission out of the blue.  “I need you to fly to America.”

“America?”  She was surprised.  Why did she need to go there all of a sudden?

There wasn’t any offline competition for Secret Room Storm over there now.  Even if it was just for observation, there had to be a competition for her to go to.
