Those Sweet Times
Chapter 86 Part 1

In the second match, Lin Chuyan took Zhuge Liang as his champion. Zhuge Liang was usually referred to as the “lane bully,” which meant that he excelled at clearing minion lanes and usually held more of an advantage during the laning phase compared to other mages.

The enemy’s mid had chosen Gao Jianli as his champion. In the early game, facing Gao Jianli, Zhuge Liang began acting a little impulsively.

This was expected by team Invincible. In their eyes, the breaking point of Xiang Nuan’s team was the mid who had quick hands but was too impulsive. He would screw around and lose his touch with the team, which was exactly what had happened during the first match.

In the early game, it was too difficult for Gao Jianli to heavily harass Zhuge Liang. But this Zhuge Liang was too willful, staying put even when his health was almost gone. Gao Jianli couldn’t control the urge to hit Zhuge Liang any more. He went over to attack Zhuge Liang once or twice. Then right at that moment, Zhuge Liang’s teammates, the jungler and the support, suddenly jumped out from the bushes and closed in to kill Gao Jianli.

Team Invincible believed that was just an accident.

But a few minutes later, they fell into the same trap again. Lin Chuyan’s Zhuge Liang scurried away. He was so panicked that he even used flash, how could that be a fake move? At this moment the enemy’s Yang Jian had already caught Zhuge Liang and the enemy all rushed over.

Despite this, Yang Jian died the next second.

The bystanders usually have a clearer view. Some of the viewers had figured it out and sent bullet comments.

-- --Isn’t this baiting? I used it before in pub games. Are these players from Penguin TV fools, falling for something like this?

-- --I’m reporting Yang Jian for feeding.

-- --What professional team, don’t kid me, a professional team with this kind of skill level?

-- --To be honest, this Zhuge Liang is a rather good actor. I would believe it if it were me playing.

-- --I’ll send a song “Actors” to Zhuge Liang.

-- --Those who said you don’t believe Zhuge Liang was acting probably forgot what he had done in the last match? He sometimes plays compulsively for real and sometimes not…...Who knows when to believe it’s true and when not to believe it?

-- --It’s too tricky. If I were to meet this kind of player in a game, I could kill him. But when I think of Chu god’s face, I won’t have the heart to kill him.

-- --Penguin TV is too conceited.

……

Since Invincible was a professional team, Lin Chuyan didn’t expect them to fall for his trick for a third time. He played more squarely till the tenth minute when he forced the enemy into a team fight near Dragon. The enemy’s jungler had low health and was about to retreat, Lin Chuyan’s Zhuge Liang targeted him with his ultimate. The enemy’s Zhuang Zhou estimated the trajectory and was ready to move in between the ultimate to block for his teammate. What happened next was the climax of this match. Zhuge Liang, currently running in one direction, suddenly turned around with his mobility ability followed by a flash and instantly pulled himself away from Zhuang Zhou to reach a position of safety. Then Zhuge Liang’s ultimate landed and killed the enemy jungler.

Zhuge Liang was a reaper type of mage. Once he had killed with his ultimate, he would fight more and more fiercely later on.

The moves Lin Chuyan took to change his position to cast his ultimate seemed to happen in a blink of the eye. A lot of viewers didn’t even catch the glimpse of it. Some cursed Zhuang Zhou for being an idiot, maybe he’s only a Bronze player?

Certainly, there were a few who had figured it out and discussed it on the bullet comments.

-- --Damn, how can anyone feint like this? 66666

-- --Send the song “Actors” to Zhuge Liang.

-- --Zhuang Zhou didn’t move at all. Even if he had reacted, it probably wouldn’t have done anything for him. He can only blame Zhuge Liang for being too good at juking.

-- --I faked it before, but not as good as him.

-- --An outstanding student from the Drama School.

-- --Other people are playing games, you’re just scheming here. Hahahaha……

At the tenth minute of the game, it was the refresh time of the Dark Slayer. Xiang Nuan’s team won the team fight and easily took down the Dark Slayer. From now on, the rhythm of the game was in the hands of Xiang Nuan’s team.

Actually, Invincible hadn’t performed as they normally would. As a professional team playing in an amateur competition, they came with a contemptuous mindset. Furthermore, they had won all the matches in this tournament so easily that they had overestimated themselves. As a junior team, they didn’t have many opportunities to play in official competitions and therefore didn’t have enough experience to adjust their mindset when encountering setbacks. They were surprised by Xiang Nuan’s team which had adjusted back to their normal play patterns. By this juncture in the game, team Invincible had totally lost their rhythm and couldn’t regain their pace.

With a mindset like this, even if Lin Chuyan didn’t play any tricks, Invincible might not have won this match to begin with. Now because of Lin Chuyan screwing around, Invincible was on guard for him everywhere.

Xiang Nuan’s team won the second match.

  1. Lin Chuyan could just start his own pro team and hire his current team, plus Oblivion XD ....but they are still playing a B team.

Rooting for Team XN to win.

  2. Firsf rule in any fight: Know your enemy. How can a professional team not have studied their enemy. I guess it's because they broke rule 2
    Never underestimate your enemy.
