Xiang Nuan tried to imagine the scene where she confessed to Lin Chuyan and the thought made her uneasy: “What if he laughs at me when I confess to him?”

“If he laughs at you, just throw him into a washing machine.”

“Ha?”

“Spin the water in his head out.”

Xiang Nuan tried again to imagine how it would look like if Lin Chuyan were to be stuffed into the washing machine and found the image rather funny.

The competition next day started at two o’clock in the afternoon. Yang Yin didn’t ask the team to train in the morning. Xiang Nuan and Lin Chuyan were playing duos the whole morning to relax and get into the gaming mode.

Yue Yingying had delivered fruits to them once, drinks twice, and one more time for desserts and snacks. Afterwards, she decided to stay in the room right next to Xiang Nuan to watch her play.

Lin Chuyan didn’t feel like he was his mother’s biological son at this point. His mother knew that he was playing this game and that he was playing in a competition. But she had never asked anything about it, she wasn’t interested in whether he had won or lost his matches. But since Xiang Nuan was here, she sat down right next to her and pretended to understand the game. In addition, she had considerately kept quiet in order not to disturb Xiang Nuan.

After a while, Xiang Nuan was a little tired from playing and her shoulders felt a bit sore. When she began to slightly move her shoulders around, Yue Yingying stood up and said: “Come, let auntie massage your shoulders.”

Xiang Nuan replied with a smile: “Auntie, you’re so nice.”

Lin Chuyan felt like they were sisters. Then he stopped himself from thinking that way. If they were sisters, then Xiang Nuan would be Auntie Xiang Nuan…...Lin Chuyan forbid himself from continuing down that thought.

Yue Yingying asked Xiang Nuan: “Do you need to put on some makeup for today’s comepetition?”

Xiang Nuan shook her head: “I don’t think so. It’s not a beauty pageant.”

“Won’t you be on camera?”

“I shouldn’t be. Though there’s streams for the competition, it’ll mostly be pictures of the ongoing matches. There’s no commentators and it won’t pan over to the players either. This kind of competition isn’t that important and it isn’t like the official professional competitions.” Xiang Nuan briefly repeated what Yang Yin had explained to her.

Yue Yingying said: “But you should still put on some makeup. What if they turned the camera on you? You have to show the best side of yourself to the audience.”

The way she put it, Xiang Nuan felt like she was being treated like a big movie star. Xiang Nuan was quite flattered but still a bit bashful: “Actually, I’m not good at putting on makeup……” She didn’t have enough practice. T ^ T

Yue Yingying was waiting for Xiang Nuan to say that. She lightly patted Xiang Nuan’s shoulder: “I know how to. I’ll do it for you. I guarantee that I’ll make you pretty.”

While Yue Yingying was putting makeup on Xiang Nuan, she marveled at how nice Xiang Nuan’s skin was. It was supple, smooth,  and fair with a pinkish undertone, without blemishes or pimples. There was only one tiny little light brown mole the size of a sesame seed on her left chin, which was hardly noticeable. Her skin condition was the perfect example of the saying-- --Youthfulness is the best cosmetic.

Yue Yingying only put light makeup on Xiang Nuan to show off her youthful skin. Xiang Nuan’s eyes, with Yue Yingying’s skillful touch, looked even larger and more lively as it they could talk. Xiang Nuan had perfectly shaped lips, the feature of her face Yingying particularly liked. She took good care of Xiang Nuan’s lips and was quite satisfied with the result.

After the makeup was done, Yue Yingying led Xiang Nuan to Lin Chuyan.

Lin Chuyan was a little taken aback by the makeup’s effect.
