You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 143 Part 2

Tong Yao’s streams certainly weren’t as popular as Lu Sicheng’s. But there were still quite a lot of people who had come along for the ride…… She hadn’t been in the lineup for the past few days, there were much less haters on her channel. Most of the questions from bullet comments were asking her when she would be back playing games. Some would say she was the pride of all girls and tell her not to give up. In addition, there were comments like-- --

[Is your hand serious?]

“Not serious. It’s almost healed.” Tong Yao lifted up her finger with the bandage towards the camera and hooked it a couple of times: “See, I can bend it freely. It’s still wrapped with bandages so water won’t get into it……”

[Wifey, ahhhh, the one next to you has hands and feet, why do you cook for him? Let him starve. Doesn’t he know how to order take out!]

[qaq ahhh, I just heard that you would be on for the playoffs, is that true?]

[No matter what, I’ll be waiting for you in the arena. Your support board will always be lit for you!]

Tong Yao was very moved by these messages. There were many crazy people and haters in the esports circle, but most of the time the positive energy brought by the fans was strong enough to erase the dark side…… Tong Yao would look at the comments and private messages on Weibo quite often, even though most of the people were repeating the same words, such as “go for it” or “nice play”, she would still be quite happy for a long time. Her teammates would ask her whether she was tired of seeing the same words over and over, yet she never grew tired of those words.

If she would simply look at those words at their face value, it certainly didn’t mean much.

However, when she imagined how each of those fans was feeling at the time when he or she typed the words “go for it”, then she could easily feel happy, it felt like she had received a lot of blessings……

“What should I use in this match? Aurelion Sol? I can play Sol much better than Lu Yue. What does he know about Sol?...... I heard that during today’s ban & pick, he violently resisted taking Sol as he was told. Maybe the exchange could’ve made it onto the best quotes montage next week-- --You don’t believe I’ll use Aurelion Sol? Very well, reverse psychology. Though I know it’s reverse psychology, I’ll make your wish come true once. Locked in Aurelion Sol. If I carry the game, remember to apologize to me.”

She saw “6666” all over the screen and gifts were flying everywhere. Tong Yao smiled-- --

She was really glad that she didn’t take Xiao Rui as a scam when he had called her late at night to invite her to play professionally half a year ago. She was also thankful for her mother who forced her to come to Shanghai…… She had experienced so many things which she couldn’t even imagine before and so many things were those she had never experienced before.

More amazement over disappointment.

Happiness over sadness.

Overcoming weakness.

Greater rewards than lazing about.

It was just like she had said in her MVP interview last time that: She didn’t regret it.

She hadn’t regretted coming to this circle.

…...

August 7, 2016.

The last round of the best of three matches between CK and Qing Dynasty had ended with CK as the winner. The group round of robin of the 2016 League of Legends major league summer competition had come to the end.

ZGDX, with only one loss, was the top of A group and would be moving on to the playoffs. According to the rules of this year, the top team in each group would move directly onto the quarter finals.

This year there were still 3 slots for the China region teams to go on to the S6 world tournament. One of the slots was reserved for the champion team of the summer season, the second slot was for the team which had accumulated the greatest number of points in the whole year (based on the total points earned during spring and summer competitions), and the last slot would be decided by a stepladder competition among the teams with a higher number of points.

The teams worked hard for a whole year all for that ticket to go to the S6 world tournament.

The eight teams in the playoffs were all gearing up, getting ready to show off their true strength. It was like what the champion Ezreal would say when he gets picked: Time for a true display of skill!
