All the people around the table remained silent. Tong Yao spoke matter of factly and didn’t feel that there was anything wrong with what she had said. Sitting next to her, Lu Sicheng put down his chopsticks and turned to glance at the two contentious mids. He paused for a moment. Under the others’ eager gazes who were waiting to see how the show would play out, he nodded and commented: “Well said.”

Tong Yao grabbed his arm to hold in her arms.

Lu Yue was disgusted: “Take him away, take him away. Only you care for him. Don’t return him once you’ve taken him away.”

Tong Yao: “Only I care? You can go post on Weibo asking how many young ladies care about your brother.”

The meeting around the dinner table concluded at 9:30 pm.

Tong Yao was leading the way upstairs dragging Lu Sicheng’s hand. It looked very much like she was leading a horse back to her own room-- --The others on the first floor were looking at them with a dumbfounded expression, wondering what they assumed the base was.

At 10:30 pm, Xiao Rui decided that he wouldn’t let them have the quiet night they wished for.

Ten minutes later, when Tong Yao was lying on her stomach in bed after taking a shower, she saw an official announcement from ZGDX on Weibo. It basically announced that ZGDX would rotate the team’s mid for the following games. Lu Yue would be the one playing the following three in-group matches.

The news exploded among the fans. Some with vivid imaginations guessed that the first mid of ZGDX, being the girlfriend of the captain, had gotten so conceited that she had forgotten her place and offended the captain, and thus had gotten shelved……

Many people online supplemented the storm with even wilder imaginations or fancies about the esports couple.

While the fans were in their heated discussion, the cool, evil, and cruel ZGDX captain in their mind happened to come out of Tong Yao’s bathroom. With a towel in hand, he was drying Tong Yao’s hair for her while kissing and spreading his burning breath on her shoulder……

“Just let them keep making up stories as much as they like. Later on you can compare what they’ve said and see whether they fit into the details when we’re together.”

“What if they don’t fit?”

“Then we’ll follow their scripts and practice more so we can improve.”
