You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 175 Part 2
Tong Yao was a little annoyed at the comments and backed out of Tieba. She went to check another esports forum frequented by foreigners-- --As expected, everyone was overjoyed over there. The comments that appeared the most were “G4 are gods”, even the fans seemed to be in shock by the result……
Of course, those people who liked to smear LPL were also present.
[I’ve told you that the LPL is trash, hehehehehehehehe.]
[What did you say? OP lost to CK in the group match? Hehehehehe, are you sure it was just an act?]
[The Chinese are dumbfounded.]
[Team OP: First class acting.]
[Ziggs made them stunned and speechless, yooooooooo!]
[G4 might at least be able to get second place. Their condition is invincible! Cheers!]
[Arun totally crushed Yang, probably scared him to tears! Are all the LPL junglers like this? Once they’re at the world competition, they lose…...from S5 all the way to S6. Commentator D (the famous admirer of LPL from the LCS region who did commentary for earlier matches) must be crying hard right now.]
Tong Yao closed the cell phone screen.
She continued to watch the competition without saying a word.
An hour later, she stood up and followed her depressed teammates as they left their seats-- --Before she left, she turned to take a look at the stage. G4 players were cheering and hugging in celebration of making it into the semi-finals. Next to them were the quiet CK players.
The spotlight was now on the five G4 players and their coach who had rushed onstage to embrace them. About 10 steps away from them, in the dark corner, the five CK players sat there like statues. Tong Yao then saw Jian Yang, who hadn’t moved for quite a while, suddenly bent over, lowered his head, and used one of his hands to cover his eyes……
Tong Yao stopped walking.
Then she felt her hand held by a big, warm hand. She looked up, slightly startled, and met a pair of dark brown eyes.
“Let’s go.” Lu Sicheng said lightly: “Stop looking.”
……
CK’s elimination had made the whole LPL region miserable.
If they couldn’t even take on a team from the LCS, then how would the other two LPL teams take down the two LCK teams?
Their ability? It seemed insufficient.
Their confidence? It seemed to have completely disappeared.
Luck?...... It seemed to be the only thing left for them to hope for.
It was really hopeless.
Tong Yao didn’t sleep well that night. The next morning, she woke up with a splitting headache-- -- Fortunately there was no match for ZGDX that day. For the second day of the quarter-finals, LPL’s YQCB had a match against RP…… It was ten o’clock in the morning when Tong Yao got up. When she came down to eat breakfast, she found most of her teammates and YQCB players were already in the dining room. Everyone looked like they hadn’t slept well either. There were black circles under Little Fatty’s eyes.
Tong Yao took some bread, milk, and oatmeal, then went to sit next to Little Fatty: “You didn’t sleep last night?”
Little Fatty sighed: “......It’s turmoil back home. I didn’t know all three LPL teams shared a common destiny until I was out of the country! Last night I went drinking with Xiao Hua and Come Good Luck, uhr, I drank juice. They drank and drank and cried while holding me, my heart was broken too.”
Little Fatty’s lively description made Tong Yao lose her appetite, she put down the bread…… Lu Sicheng and YQCB’s ad walked in shoulder to shoulder at this time. Lu Sicheng saw Tong Yao right away and left his buddy to walk over. He stood in front of her, used his hand to lift up Tong Yao’s chin, then used his thumb to brush off the bread crumb next to her lips. He nonchalantly said: “Didn’t sleep well?”
“En.” Tong Yao hmphed: “How could I sleep with tens of thousands fingers pointing at my back.”

ReplyDeleteThank you for your diligent and hard work. It is greatly appreciated :D <3
ReplyDeleteI have to ask about the "en" translation, though - is it meant to express agreement? Because then I would write "hmm".
‘En’ I believe is still in mandarin. Its an interjection, more like a grunt that chinese people use that can either be an agreement or to express ‘what?’ and is usually not translated even with other translated novels to any possible english counterpart.
Delete'en' is more like 'yep', but really, it depends on the context.
DeleteThank you ;v;
