Starlight Has No Past
Chapter 7 Part 2

Ye Qiao took a deep breath.  Rainy nights weren’t so bad. The air was
clear and light, it seemed to lift the weight off of her body.
The glass elevator slowly stopped at the third floor. Ye Qiao looked up
to see 3 or 4 people inside the elevator, including the one she didn’t
expect to see here.

The glass door opened, she hesitated to go in. The door was closing when
he reached out with one hand and jammed it between the closing doors.
Zhou Tingsheng retracted his hand as if his knuckles hadn’t been smashed
and casually shook his hand a few times. Then he hooked his finger at her:
“Aren’t you coming in?”
Maybe it was because he was born with great charm, or Ye Qiao was
emotionally unstable at the time, she walked in the elevator-- --Even though
she was fully aware that the elevator was going up and she wanted to go
to the bottom floor.

Ye Qiao actually had a lot of questions she wanted to ask him. But there
were other people inside the elevator and she could only stand by with a
blank expression.
Zhou Tingsheng quietly stood behind her. He was still taller than her,
about 10cm, even though she was wearing high heels. His tall stature
made it tempting to lean against him.
Eventually the other passengers left the elevator one after another and
they were the only two left.
Ye Qiao was wearing a one-shoulder gown, exposing her white skin to
the cold air. He used his fingers to twist some strands of her hair at the
back of her neck: “It looks pretty nice from here.”
She had pulled her hair up, showing off her white and lean back. She
was slender but not bony. Her shoulder and back were especially alluring.
“Where do I look good?”
“Your back.”

Gu Jin had also commented about her beautiful back. But other than
that, his usual comment about her body was always: “You’re too skinny,
eat more.”
Now as she thought about it, he probably wasn’t sincere about caring
for her health and it was just a way for him to brush her off.

Now, what Gu Jin thought and Gu Jin the person had nothing to do with
her anymore. She had regrets but it had come to close for her.
Ye Qiao slightly moved her shoulders forward a bit and looked out of the
elevator without really focusing on anything: “Don’t you think it’s too skinny?”
“A little bit.” Zhou Tingsheng had never cared about how his actions
would be interpreted by the opposite sex. His fingers slid onto her
shoulder following that strand of hair, the tips of his fingers moved along
the groove under her shoulder blade. “I won’t be able to feel the groove
if you have more flesh here.”
Ye Qiao was used to his brazen behavior. She stayed still while calmly
glancing at the scenery outside the glass elevator: “You must like skeletons
since you like to touch bones so much?”

Zhou Tingsheng felt that she was particularly combative today, letting
nothing get by her.
But he thought this was much more interesting than the Ye Qiao before
who would just swallow all the insults and humiliation. He looked down
and saw a wine stain on the gauze over her hand and a gash on her calf.
He raised his eyebrows with amusement: “You just had a fight with somebody?”
“No, not fight. I just taught someone a lesson.”
Zhou Tingsheng laughed: “You sure get bitten by dogs easily.”
Ye Qiao doubtfully took a look at him: “Because the owner of the dog
always appears around me with no reason.”

The elevator door opened.
Ye Qiao checked the sign, it was the 58th floor: “You’re getting off here?”
The top floor was the VIP suite with a view. He really knew how to indulge himself.
Zhong Tingsheng held the room card in between his fingertips as if to say yes.
He had told her during the day that he had other arrangements so he couldn’t
have lunch with her. Evidently, the arrangement was to come to this hotel. He
had his own residence in G City and now he had come to a hotel and checked
into a room. Ye Qiao thought it was quite obvious what this man was up to here.

Ye Qiao had already created the story of the life of a gigolo in her mind. She
spoke with ridicule written all over her face: “You sure are busy.”
One of Zhou Tingsheng’s feet had already stepped out of the elevator. He
suddenly turned around after hearing her words and grabbed her forearm:
“I’m not busy.  I at least have enough time to entertain you.”

Ye Qiao didn’t expect his sudden move and was easily dragged out of the
elevator by this violent man. The elevator door quickly closed behind her.
Her arm was hurting from his powerful grip: “What are you doing?”
