The reality was that there were times when RMB was not of much help.
The second match, Chuyan, still played Ying Zheng but was constantly
harassed by the enemy’s Assassin and died miserably. In the game,
Ying Zheng was a Mage; though he had abilities that made it easier to
protect himself than a champion like Xiao Qiao, a mage was still the
weakest role in the game.

Xiang Nuan was thinking of buying a Ying Zheng as well, but she decided
against it after seeing Chuyan die again and again together with her.

She recalled the often mentioned phrase in those strategy books for new
players: There’s no bad champion, only bad plays.

Playing Ying Zheng, it was impossible to kill everyone; but without him, one
shouldn’t lose all the time. The key was a one’s playerstyle and the type of
the champions that matched their style. Someone could played the ugly Arthur,
which was given to her for free, and win all the way to Master.

After the match was over, Chuyan began analyzing the match to Xiang Nuan:
For that match, we didn’t have a good lineup.

The next day was the final competition.  When Ai Qing and Slide walked
side by side out of the VIP entrance, their arrival drew a strong reaction from
both the players and the audience.  

The owners and managers of many clubs in the VIP players’ area were casting
encouraging looks at Ai Qing. All of those who were sitting in the VIP area had
been in this circle for many years, going from amateur players to professionals.
They had witnessed so many different games and so many players, coming
and going. Though they might not personally know Ai Qing, they were all
expressing their support to one of the first professional players.

SP club’s fans all gathered in one area on top of her, shouting slogans louder
and louder.

Amidst the din of the crowd, Slide turned around, crossed his hands each
clenched into a fist, and lifted both high above his head, showing his sincere
appreciation.

Another wave of cheers fell upon them.

“Damn it.  Looks like we double the number of fans from yesterday.”  Following
looked at the area high above them with one hand shielding his eyes.  “Captain,
your future wife will be very jealous about you with all these fans.”

Slide glanced at him.  “Who knows if my future wife has even been born yet.”

It took only less than two minutes for the dozen or so players to sit down in their
seats, but every step they took was the focus of the whole arena. Thousands of
people in the audience were watching their every footstep as they moved forward.  
Ai Qing looked back and saw an overwhelming number of flags and banners.
Some of the fans were even dressed in imitation SP uniforms who occupied about
one fourth of stadium.

Ai Qing rested her chin on her palm and read Dt’s Weibo post word by
word over and over, more than a dozen times.

She recalled that she had explained to her sister in the summer of 2010
about what the “modern definition of a hero is to a girl.”

In the game world, he, with his skills, could easily kill opponents, as if he

Ai Qing held the cell phone in hand, turned sideways, and fell down free fall
style into the sofa.  She closed her eyes, but her heart had already departed
from her chest, madly pumping blood……

She wanted to call him, but didn’t after struggling for five or six minutes.

Finally, she texted him reluctantly: Call me when you arrive at the club.

His response was simple as always: Ok.

Holding the door knob, Tong Yao stayed in position after opening the
door in confusion. She lowered her head to check the key in her hand,
wondering whether she had opened some other house’s door……

Right at the moment, she saw one of the computers lined near the wall

The light from the computer screen shone on a person knelt in front of the

right ear which was riddled with silver earrings and studs. The man looked at
the computer screen while biting the nail of his left thumb. As he heard the sound
of the door opening, he turned around, without any expression, to cast a glance
at the dumbfounded girl at the door……

When Tong Yao had a clear view of the man’ face, cold sweat instantly dripped
down along her back-- --She felt dizzy, stuttered while looking at the handsome
face which was staring at her, “Cheng, Cheng Ge, didn’t you go buy something,
how can you be ahead of me……”

The reason why Xiang Nuan got reported was because she played so badly
and died too much.  Her teammates thought she was doing it on purpose. The
reporting system concurred with this assessment during the review process.

She felt that she was being treated unjustly.

After being reported, a player will be deducted reputation points. When their
reputation is too low, the player can no longer form a team. The player, in the
meantime, can only play custom games against bots till the ban period is over.

Xiang Nuan was going through the banning period right now. She could still log
into the game and play against bots.

She spent her entire Sunday at the library. She could concentrate on her homework
in the morning, yet by the afternoon, she couldn’t stop herself from taking out her
cell phone and logging onto the game.

“This game is addictive.” Xiang Nuan told Min Lili, “Don’t ever start playing it.”

“I’m not into porn games.”

The welcome event for the new students lasted for about 2 hours. Afterwards,
the members of the student council planned to go eat together. The program
director patted Lin Chuyan’s shoulder and asked, “Lin Chuyan, are you coming?”

It was quite nice of him to invite him as Lin Chuyan wasn’t a member of the
student council.

“I’m not going, you guys go ahead.” Lin Chuyan turned it down.

“Alright.” The program director felt a little let down and turned to see all the

He had to admit that this Lin Chuyan was quite popular amongst the girls.

Lin Chuyan was kept behind by his professor for a short talk. When he left the

sharp.

A girl walked up to him. “Lin, Lin Xuezhang.”
