Those Sweet Times - Chapter 71 Part 1

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

Those Sweet Times
Chapter 71 Part 1

Oblivion took off his jacket when he sat down for lunch. Xiang Nuan saw Oblivion was wearing a blue sweater under his jacket. There was a cute, big fish on the front of the sweater.

“This sweater is hand knitted, right?” She asked.

“En. My mom knitted it for me.”

Xiang Nuan was envious: “My mom never knitted sweaters for me, only for Xiaoxue.”

“Who’s Xiaoxue?”

“Our family cat.”

Oblivion chuckled. Xiang Nuan found that Oblivion liked to laugh. When he laughed, he was bashful and without sound, like moss quietly growing in a corner.

Xiang Nuan couldn’t help herself from looking at him a few more times. Oblivion actually had quite the looks, his straight nose especially made him look particularly robust. The ridges of his brow were high, making him look a bit stern, but when he smiled, his eyebrows dropped down giving him a mild mannered disposition.

The only thing was his skin color, which wasn’t popular among girls nowadays.

Lin Chuyan was a little displeased at Xiang Nuan staring at Oblivion: “Eat, why are you staring blankly?”

“Oh, oh.” Xiang Nuan realized that it was rather impolite to stare at Oblivion and felt a little embarrassed. She buried her head in her food.

She then discovered some pieces of fish in her bowl. They were from Lin Chuyan. She checked the fish pieces and found all the bones had been picked clean.

What a thoughtful gesture.

Xiang Nuan was surprised, but silently a little disgusted. All the fish pieces had been picked clean of bones using Lin Chuyan’s own chopsticks, his saliva was still on them……

“Can I not eat them?”

“I’ll slap you if you don’t eat them.”

“Wu……”

Xiang Nuan felt the need to reexamine their relationship.

Oblivion got up to go to the restroom.

Lin Chuyan moved closer to Xiang Nuan and lowered his head to whisper in her ear: “Don’t be mad. I couldn’t stand to actually slap you.”

Whenever he spoke in a low and gentle tone of voice to her, no matter what he said, Xiang Nuan felt like she was floating in happiness. It was her body’s instinctive reaction by now.

She pushed him away and said in a small voice: “Lin Chuyan, are you trying to seduce me?”

Lin Chuyan chuckled out loud with his head bent downwards.

Xiang Nuan looked over and saw his slightly curved up lips. He wasn’t looking at her, but sitting straight up with his eyes looking at the empty dishes in front.

“You aren’t too dumb.” He said.

He admitted it just like that…...without feeling abashed at all…...Xiang Nuan didn’t know how to continue the conversation.

She could only bury her head in her food again and finish all the pieces of fish.

As she was eating the fish, Lin Chuyan added: “You’ll have to eat it sooner or later.”

Xiang Nuan was confused at what he was referring to. She didn’t realize what he meant until she had finished eating everything.

Lin Chuyan was a scoundrel indeed.

When Oblivion came back, he noticed that even Xiang Nuan’s ears were red. Lin Chuyan, on the other hand, was smiling. Oblivion didn’t know what Lin Chuyan had done to Xiang Nuan, but he figured it must be something embarrassing.

Then Oblivion also blushed.

The advantage of having darker skin was apparent now-- --No one could tell that he was blushing. He was also glad that he had gone to the restroom, otherwise if the couple kissed in front of him, it would make it even more awkward.

You're Beautiful When You Smile - Chapter 85 Part 2

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 85 Part 2

This young lady’s Weibo username was “Guoguo.” She went over to the trunk and lifted her foot ready to close the back of the trunk. Her eyes caught the sight of a thick scrapbook…...She paused and bent over to take out the scrapbook. She opened the first page. It was the picture of the current public enemy of the esports circle wearing a Qing Dynasty uniform and smiling brightly-- --

The picture was taken when Xu Tailun won his first match after he joined the Qing Dynasty.

At the bottom of the picture there were phrases written in three different languages: Chinese, English, and Korean in highlighter:  Tailun Ge, happy birthday!

She flipped through pages of the scrapbook. There were various pictures each with more sentences in different handwriting-- --[Xu Tailun is the best : )] [Thank you for coming to be with us] [Our little angel Tailun, go for the summer season] [Thank you for bringing me into the wonderful LoL professional scene. I’ve seen many pro scenes and in the end I’ve decided to stay with you always]......

On the last page, [I’ll be at your side no matter what-- --Guoguo]

The last picture was dated August 31 of this year, a date in the future. This scrapbook was put together by many of Xu’s fans as a gift for Xu Tailun’s birthday. They had started compiling the book since February this year. The scrapbook had been carefully sent to forty some cities through express delivery, collecting numerous handwritten wishes from fans all over the country. The book eventually came back to Guoguo…...A thick scrapbook filled with the expectation that it would be delivered to the hand of their most favorite player.

But, there was no use for this scrapbook now.

Guoguo put the book back into the trunk. Another notification chime reminded her of her cell phone…...She hesitated for a moment, then turned to pick up the phone and read through hundreds of unread messages which had came in the last dozen of hours-- --

[Guoguo, are you alright? qaq]

[You cleared out your Weibo. Are you going to leave us? Don’t, wuwuwuwu……]

[Don’t understand why you have to do this.]

[Didn’t we agree not to make these things public? Didn’t expect that the person to betray Xu Tailun in the end would be you…...You also betrayed us. You’re a traitor.]

[Xu Tailun got banned.]

[Thanks a lot.]

[You’re really an evil woman.]

[He’s a jerk. Not worth it. Guoguo, let it go. If I knew in the beginning that he’s this kind of person, I wouldn't have become his fan in the first place, I wouldn’t despite the fact that he plays great games.]

……

[This week is his last match. Are you coming?]

Guoguo’s eyes rested on the last message.

After a long while, she opened WeChat as if she had finally made up her mind and went on to a ticket sales app-- --Her finger on the cell phone was trembling. It suddenly reminded her the first time when she decided to go watch a pro-league game in person. On that Monday morning, she had gotten up early to shower and put on makeup. Afterwards, she went to a Starbucks to meet with some friends and waited there until noon. Then they, each with a cell phone in hand and quick heartbeats, opened the ticket buying app and ordered front row seats for the match scheduled that week……

Qing Dynasty’s match against Huawei was on Thursday and it was already Wednesday. When Guoguo went to the ticket purchasing page, there were only a few tickets in the back rows left. Guoguo randomly chose a seat in the very last row. She clicked confirm and paid for the ticket.

Her thoughts went back to that Monday again. She remembered how she excitedly hugged her friends after they all got front row seats. She didn’t know how to describe the joy she experienced at that time. All she could think of at the time was-- --What am I going to wear that day?

I’m going to put on nice makeup!

It doesn’t matter if he won’t be able to see me. I have to be beautiful that day!

Xu Tailun, I’m really, really, happy I’ll be seeing you.

You're Beautiful When You Smile - Chapter 85 Part 1

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 85 Part 1

Qing Dynasty’s official announcement created another small earthquake in the esports circle.

Everyone knew that the Qing Dynasty relied on Xu Tailun to win matches. Xu Tailun was the team’s engine, without their jungler the team would at best struggle to stay as a relegation team, but was more likely to drop back into the junior league…...The decision to ban him from any matches was like carving out a big piece of muscle out of the team.

The announcement shocked the majority of the fans who thought all Chinese esports clubs would place their interests first. Most people thought that the Qing Dynasty would just give a superficial punishment to Xu Tailun, such as “giving him a demerit and delivering corrective measures” or a “pay deduction.” They didn’t expect the Qing Dynasty would go so far as to ban their Korean help for the entire season.

In general, most of the responses to the announcement were supportive of the Qing Dynasty. Even the media was reporting positively about it, say how the team was setting a good example for the esports business-- --

[What goes around comes around. The club has made an example out of Xu Tailun. In any case, we support the Qing Dynasty in their decision.]

[The team is used to playing relegation games and not used to being third place in the major league at the time being. So they banned their carry so they could go back to being a relegation team! -- --That’s how the Qing Dynasty’s management rationalized their decision.]

[Even a small team can make such a bold decision, some of the major teams in the league should take heed.]

[I hope everyone can support the Qing Dynasty with their actions. It’s not enough to just give them praise. The team will actually suffer some real losses ……]

[Oh, come on. A good reputation is also very important to a club. Next year, when the team finds a suitable jungler and forms an all Chinese team, as long as they can stay in the major league, they’ll be guaranteed to attract even more fans. You think management is full of idiots? At least I would become a fan!]

There were numerous similar comments. One famous esports forum on Tieba was flooded with related posts. Some were earnestly analyzing the current status of Chinese esports clubs, some continued to expose Xu Tailun. After careful research, they found out that Xu Tailun had more affairs with his fans, other instances where he insulted his teammates, and threatened not to play matches if the team wouldn’t follow his wishes. It was common practice of him to ask for luxury items from his fans-- --

The post about Xu Tailun already had 5000 replies. Towards the end, most of the people posting were young fangirls of Xu Tailun who were usually much more active on these types of posts. Some of them posted [I was blind before, already not a fan]. Some posted [Very sad, don’t @me anymore, thank you]. There were a small group of them who remained silent from beginning to end.

Xu Tailun had officially become the public enemy in China's LoL pro league.

…...

In an empty room, a cell phone which had been discarded on the bed, was exploding with notification sounds from incoming messages and phone calls-- --

The only young lady in the room, who had pulled her hair up and was wearing slippers, was stuffing the remaining clothings into the suitcase-- --She didn’t seem to hear the constant chiming from the phone.

The room was a little messy, like someone had gathered everything inside the room in a hurry. The walls in the room were rather mottled; there were traces everywhere on the walls where posters or pictures had been torn down from where they used to be pasted…...Some of the corners of the posters or pictures were left on the walls. On top of the mirror, there were several banners hanging over it with the slogan “Go, Qing Dynasty” on them. There were some player signatures on the banners……

The banners looked like they had been carefully preserved.

The young lady closed the suitcase, stood up, and coldly surveyed the already emptied room…...Finally, her eyes landed on a huge trunk behind her-- --Inside the trunk, there were several mobile hard disks on the top of the stack. Those disks were full of videos of streams by Qing Dynasty players in the past half year. Under those disks were all the pictures she had just taken down from the walls. In those pictures, there were five young men wearing the same colored uniforms; they were laughing, hugging, bowing on top of the stage, sitting behind computers, celebrating their victories, dejected from their losses……

These pictures had been taken carefully by a single-lens reflex camera, then picked out, photoshopped, and finally printed out.

Then they were treasured.

-- --But now, they were all wrinkled and dumped at the side together with some wallpapers.

The cell phone on the bed was still ringing.

You're Beautiful When You Smile - Chapter 84 Part 4

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 84 Part 4

There was a ten minutes intermission.

Tong Yao was more relaxed now since Lu Yue would be the one playing. While the others were discussing the upcoming ban & pick phase, she took the chance to take her cell phone out to check Weibo.

She was going to watch some news.

After she refreshed the page, there was truly big news there…...After what had happened last night, Qing Dynasty finally posted an official announcement about Xu Tailun on their Weibo official site-- --

[ <Public announcement about one of our players’ violation of regulations>

Recently, our club has received many complaints regarding the behaviour of our player Xu Tailun. Our club has undergone investigation on these complaints and found some of the complaints to be valid. Our club would like to make the following explanation.

Xu Tailun joined our club during the 2015 winter transfer period and has become the first jungler in our club. However, ever since he joined the club, he hasn’t acted in accordance with the expectations of the club: respecting his other teammates, the club, and accepting the decisions from management. He has on various occasions made insulting comments about his teammates, his club, and even China.

The club has on several occasions advised and corrected Xu Tailun’s behavior, but Xu Tailun has refused to correct his behavior. In addition, his messy private life has also caused a public opinion storm against esports players, creating extremely negative press towards the esports business. All of the above behavior is in serious violation of our club regulations.

Our club is dedicated to clearing the air about the current situation and will never tolerate a foreign player who doesn’t respect his teammates and shows contempt for China. Our club has decided to deduct all of the bonuses for the later half of this year for the player Xu Tailun and has placed him as a substitute, forfeiting all of his rights to play this whole season so that he may reflect on his wrongdoings.

Considering that player Xu Tailun has contributed greatly towards this club’s standing in the 2016 Spring competition, the club has made a special arrangement to allow Xu Tailun to participate in the match against Team Huawei this Thursday as a final official farewell towards him and his fans.

Even the wings of a mayfly can shake a big tree.

For the long term healthy growth of the esports business in China, Qing Dynasty has made the above decisions of its own accord.

The club wishes to thank all the people who have supported the Chinese esports business and Qing Dynasty all this time. Our club will do whatever it can to work with all of you to contribute our might to the Chinese esports environment.]

Tong Yao: “.............................”

Tong Yao: “Oh, my god, ahhhhhh, what great news. Xu Tailun got banned! ! ! !”

Everyone in the base was shocked by Tong Yao shouting. Lu Sicheng, who was sitting nearest to her, accidentally banned the champion Calista, the champion he was going to pick because his hand shook from Tong Yao’s sudden shout. His face instantly turned black: “What’s the fuss, get lost. If you dare shout again, I’ll go next door and borrow Doli’s muzzle to put on you.”

Tong Yao: “......”

Doli was an Alaskan Malamute kept by the next door team’s boss. Ai Jia and Jinyang’s cat, Ah Mao, often stood on the back of Doli to show off to the envious Dabing-- --

Tong Yao: “How dare you to put a dog muzzle on me!”

Lu Sicheng: “Wrong, I want to put two muzzles on you. The first is to keep you quiet, the other is to fortify the first one.”

Tong Yao: “......”

Lu Sicheng: “Another team bans its jungler, what does that have anything to do with you? You’re so cheerful after losing a match, can’t you go reflect on your own performance? Even if it’s only for show. You knew how to cry after losing skirmishes before-- --Now, you’re so elated, who are you planning to irritate?”

Tong Yao: “......Oh.”

Tong Yao put down her cell phone.

She remained completely silent during the second skirmish match. She started to play solo, trying to figure out how to play Taliyah. She successfully played the role of someone who had a guilty conscience and didn’t want to irritate her captain.

Those Sweet Times - Chapter 70 Part 2

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

Those Sweet Times
Chapter 70 Part 2

Oblivion’s train was delayed for 12 minutes.

Xiang Nuan stood outside the exit gate of the train station and stretched her neck to look at the passengers swarming out of the station. Lin Chuyan stood by her, seemingly much calmer than her. After a short while, Lin Chuyan received a call from Oblivion. Xiang Nuan heard him talking: “Right, at the south exit. Just come out from there. I’m wearing white with a pink backpack. You should have no problem seeing me.”

Xiang Nuan was a little embarrassed hearing that; she wondered whether Oblivion would suspect Lin Chuyan was gay.

People kept streaming out the station. After a few minutes, Xiang Nuan saw a tall person among the crowd wave at them.

Then that person walked towards them.

The person was about 173 cm tall, wore an army green coat and black pants. He was lean with darker skin, as if he had just come out of a vat of soy sauce.

When he got closer, he smiled at them, showing his super white teeth.

Xiang Nuan didn’t know whether it was a rule or not, but -- --Darker skinned people usually have whiter teeth. She had never seen any exceptions.

Oblivion smiled bashfully and his eyes were clear; a nice person just by the looks of him.

Xiang Nuan had a good impression of him and smiled: “Are you Oblivion? I’m Xiang Nuan. This is Lin Chuyan, the big noob.”

Lin Chuyan lifted his hand and gently pushed her head: “Are you especially looking forward to when I take care of you?”

Xiang Nuan blushed and stepped one step to the side to keep some distance from him.

“How are you? I’m Oblivion. My name is Lu Yuqiang.” He said.

His voice was a bit coarse, like thick sand on the beach. It was quite special, but still pleasant to hear.

“Finally we meet.” Lin Chuyan said and reached over to shake hands with him. They patted each other’s shoulder. Then he said to Oblivion: “Those sweet rice balls were delicious.”

Xiang Nuan was a little embarrassed about the sweet rice balls.

After greetings, Oblivion asked: “Are you two togerther now?”

Lin Chuyan looked at Xiang Nuan, curved the sides of his lips, then said: “En.”

Oblivion was very happy for him: “Congratulations.”

Xiang Nuan was still a little bashful. Lin Chuyan however picked up her hand again and held it tightly in his hand. He was still shameless as usual.

-- --

The three of them went to eat some local specialty dishes. During lunch, Xiang Nuan asked why Oblivion had come to Nanshan.

Oblivion was here to try out for a professional team.

Nanshan City was a major city in the area and had a thriving esports business. There were many esports clubs in the city. Oblivion was going to a club called “Heat.” The club’s Kings of Glory division was recruiting youth trainees.

“Is a trainee a substitute player?” Xiang Nuan asked.

“No.” Oblivion shook his head.

Xiang Nuan: ? ? ?

Lin Chuyan had some knowledge about it and explained to Xiang Nuan: “Youth trainees are just reserves. The training camp is like a reserve for talent.”

Xiang Nuan understood: “So it means that you won’t even be able to be a substitute after you go there. You can only wait for an opportunity to come up?”

“En.” Oblivion nodded. But he didn’t mind it, he stressed: “I get paid.”

“How much for a month?”

“About 8,000.”

“That’s too little.”

“No, it’s not……”

Xiang Nuan felt Oblivion should be worth much more than that; it should be 80,000 RMB instead.

In reality, the club would have to evaluate him before paying him 8000 a month. Through Hu Ge, Oblivion had been introduced to the manager of Heat and they talked online for a few days. Then Oblivion received an invitation to try it out at the camp. He would undergo training at the base for a week, then he had to go through evaluation to officially become one of the trainees if he passed.

Xiang Nuan listened to Oblivion and felt sorry for him since he was already such a strong player.

Even Lin Chuyan felt 8,000 was a bit low.

Oblivion on the other hand thought these two students from a top university were a bit naive, they had probably never worked outside the school. When he was working as a laborer carrying bricks, he wasn’t able to always have work. Even if he had work, he could only earn four or five thousand a month from such exhausting work. In addition, he didn’t have any insurance. Now by going to the club, he could play games to earn 8,000 a month. With steady income and insurance, it was like heaven to him.

“I think it’s quite good.” He said. Looking at the naive young couple who were about the same age as him, he envied them while simultaneously finding amusement by their innocence.

You're Beautiful When You Smile - Chapter 84 Part 3

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 84 Part 3

Little Fatty: “Yasuo, Taliyah, Gragas, and Taric, these choices are really gay.”

Old Cat: “I’m fine with Yasuo.”

Old K: “They’re making it look like people still use Gragas. Are we in a dream?”

Tong Yao: “You guys, take a look at Taliyah, look at Taliyah. A champion I never even encountered in rank matches, now I’m seeing it in skirmish.”

After their moment of silence, they collectively started to sigh. Only their captain paused for a while then said with a stone face: “I really want to throw all of you out to work on a sweet potato field.”

Everyone: “......”

Tong Yao and her teammates had to admit that they were shocked by Team OP’s courage to randomly choose their champions-- --It was a strange feeling for them. While they were playing their daily ranked matches, if they saw the opposing team with a lineup like Team OP, they would think the opposing team was going to give them an easy time from the beginning. But as they started playing against Team OP, they found that it was far from easy.

-- --Though Team OP didn’t catch ZGDX completely by surprise in the ban & pick phase, their trick switching Yasuo from mid to top did give Old K and Tong Yao difficult times in their respective lanes…...They couldn’t kill their counterparts and had a hard time surviving at the same time. It was a depressed feeling that neither Old K nor Tong Yao had experienced before.

When Tong Yao’s Azir and Taliyah reached level 3, she found that her opponent had a much stronger presence. She took a look at Old K who was busy protecting his own jungle. Tong Yao sighed, gave up the idea of attacking, and went back to base…...She moved the camera to check on bot, which was the lane that would most likely lead ZGDX to victory in this match.

She saw the enemy Cho’Gath was wagging its tail like a Pekingese.

Tong Yao felt despair all of a sudden.

-- --Cho’Gath was a special kind of champion. When a player played this champion with quick hands, they could move and slash at the same time. The move had a special term in the game “move A.” It was a basic skill for top ad players to have. When a top player was using Cho’Gath, the animation of the champion’s movement couldn’t match up to the actual action because of how quickly the inputs were being sent to the game. The result was that the movement and tail wouldn’t appear at the same time on screen, thus making it look like the tail was wagging.

An ad’s Cho’Gath that was wagging its tail was evidence that this ad was at least one of the top ads in the major league. They could handle a hard to maneuver champion and were fast on the keyboard.

-- --Team OP’s ad didn’t pick Cho’Gath randomly, he was on equal footing with Lu Sicheng.

The line up of Tong Yao’s team actually lacked carry. In late game team fights, only Lu Sicheng could carry them-- --Team OP seemed to have figured this out beforehand. Their jungler kept attacking ZGDX’s bot in the early game. Though OP’s jungler failed several times, Lu Sicheng was losing his patience. When his champion reached level 6, he failed a tower dive and died to the enemy Gragas, resulting in two kills and one of ZGDX’s turrets.

ZGDX’s disadvantage was obvious ever since the enemy started to solely target bot.

Lu Sicheng said with eyebrows crossed: “This round is mine.”

No one said anything. ZGDX was in a difficult situation and all they were trying to do was to drag the match into the late game-- --They had made up some of the gap between their economy and dragged the match till the 35th minute……

The ratio of kills was still the initial 2:0.

At this point, both sides were focusing on farming, grabbing resources in the jungles, and continuing to develop their champions.

There was a period of five minutes when neither side had crossed the river……

Towards the later part of the match, Tong Yao was so drowsy that she couldn’t think straight.

Finally, it was the last team fight; whoever won this team fight would win the match. Because Lu Sicheng had positioned himself further ahead of the team, when Tong Yao attacked Cho’Gath, she pushed Cho’Gath into Lu Sicheng’s face. The mistake caused ZGDX to lose the team fight. Team OP pushed ZGDX’s base and ZGDX lost the skirmish-- --

The sound of the bursting of the nexus started playing.

Tong Yao had taken the blame for their loss which would have fallen on Lu Sicheng for his impatience earlier. Tong Yao threw down her mouse and started to bite her fingers.

Lu Sicheng watched his own team’s nexus blow up, then took a glance at Tong Yao: “Do you have anything against me?”

He was laughing at her last mistake despite it taking his life.

However, Lu Sicheng seemed quite relaxed, unlike the dark face he normally had when they lost to Korean teams in previous skirmishes-- --Tong Yao scratched her head, carefully took a look at him. She guessed that perhaps he was somewhat satisfied with the fact that the team was able to survive the pressure in the early game and successfully dragged the match to the point that they had victory within their grasp……

In comparison to the other times when the team had no hope at winning whatsoever, perhaps they could win the next match.

Even if Team OP picked an unusual line up again, at least ZGDX was prepared for that.

Additionally, Tong Yao had decided to practice all the mid champions except Yasuo.

In her mind, she had reviewed her performance in this match and knew what she needed to do to improve. She backed out of the game and let Lu Yue join the rest of the team for the second match. She held her knees and watched at the side as her teammates got ready for the second skirmish.

Those Sweet Times - Chapter 70 Part 1

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

Those Sweet Times
Chapter 70 Part 1

Lin Chuyan held Xiang Nuan’s hand and led her off campus.

Xiang Nuan was curious. “Aren’t we going to eat?” She couldn’t imagine that she would go hungry the first day she was no longer single……

“Let’s go to the station to pick up someone, then we’ll go eat together.”

“Who’s coming?”

“Oblivion.”

“-- -- Wow!” Xiang Nuan was surprised to the point of covering her mouth: “Is it the Oblivion that I know?”

Lin Chuyan lowered his head to look at her and spoke rather tersely: “I never see you this excited when you’re with me.”

He was still holding her hand as he spoke and tightened his grip slightly to give her a pinch. It was his way of showing his annoyance.

Xiang Nuan blushed, turned her face away, and said in a small voice: “You can’t compare with Oblivion.”

“Why can’t I compare with him?”

“Have you ever beaten him playing Luna with Diaochan solo?”

Lin Chuyan didn’t expect to hear her make that comparison. The game had truly occupied too much of Xiang Nuan. He and Oblivion had only played a 1v1 once and it was quite normal to have a winner and a loser in any game. He had almost forgotten about it. Besides, the point here wasn’t who won or lost but-- --

Lin Chuyan: “Do you need me to remind you again that I’m now your boyfriend.”

“Hmph, hmph.”

“So you have to be on my side no matter what.”

“Noob.”

“......”

It seemed that Xiang Nuan had learned some phrases from Yang Yin when they played with her.

Lin Chuyan released his hold on Xiang Nuan’s hand and lifted his hand to stroke her head. He looked at her as amiable as a elderly father: “Don’t push me.”

It was rare for her to be able to annoy Lin Chuyan and she was enjoying his reactions. She continued to have some more fun: “Noob, noob, noob, noob, whoops-- --” then she suddenly screeched.

Lin Chuyan stood behind her, circled his arm around her neck and brought her closer to his body.

Xiang Nuan was leaning against Lin Chuyan’s body as if she had been taken hostage.

Lin Chuyan dragged her towards a small alley a few steps away.

Xiang Nuan used both of her hands to try and pry off the arm around her neck: “What are you doing!”

“To take care of you.” Lin Chuyan answered with laughter. His voice was low, though somewhat skittish.

There were many people walking by on the street and it wasn’t convenient for him to do anything to her. So he wanted to bring her into the alley, away from the crowd.

Xiang Nuan’s face got redder and she used more force to try to break free.

Though her strength couldn’t measure up to his, Lin Chuyan was gentle, holding back because he was afraid of hurting her.

Finally, Xiang Nuan was able to free herself. Now even her neck was red. She simply ran away without even looking at him.

After running out a short distance, she heard Lin Chuyan speak behind her: “Not going to see Oblivion?”

Xiang Nuan turned around without hesitation.

“Don’t mess with me.” She warned him.

She looked like a doormat and Lin Chuyan couldn’t stop from laughing.
“Don’t laugh either……” Xiang Nuan helplessly stared at him.

Lin Chuyan lifted his hand up and touched Xiang Nuan’s lower lip with his index finger. The soft and supple feeling of her lip made his heart quiver.

Xiang Nuan moved her head backwards to avoid him.

Lin Chuyan pulled his hand back and said: “Until next time.” His voice was very low and had an unusual tone.

Xiang Nuan, however, found the way Lin Chuyan spoke to be rather sexy. She even suspected that Lin Chuyan was deliberately talking that way.

You're Beautiful When You Smile - Chapter 84 Part 2

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 84 Part 2

Little Fatty: “I know why Tong Yao has changed. It’s all your fault Cheng Ge. You’re the one who made her become unfriendly to me.”

“Oh.” Lu Sicheng subconsciously glanced at the person at his side after hearing Little Fatty. He saw Tong Yao squint her eyes trying to look for a certain id on her friend list, then she clicked the name-- --On Lu Sicheng’s computer screen, an invitation jumped out on the lower right hand corner. Lu Sicheng clicked ok and nodded in satisfaction: “I’ll take the blame.”

Tong Yao: “What?”

Lu Sicheng: “It’s nothing.”

Tong Yao: “?”

……

Then the two of them started playing duos. Since both of them had high ranks, it took a longer time for them to get into a match-- --They were only able to get in two matches before noon.

Lu Sicheng stood up after the second match to stretch his wrists. Tong Yao sat in her chair, still checking the stats of the match they had just played. She kept clicking the mouse and asked without looking up: “I should try to get to the top of the Korean server sometime…..Hrm, when is the skirmish with OP?”

Lu Sicheng: “12:30.”

Tong Yao stopped clicking and looked up at Lu Sicheng with uncertainty: “What time?”

Lu Sicheng replied without much emotion: “Right now.”

He clapped his hands and spoke with a voice, which was loud enough for everyone in the base to hear, to get ready for the skirmish-- --Ming god walked downstairs with Tong Yao’s little notebook and a clipboard. Coach Ah Hou also came over with his own notes. Xiao Rui stood up from the sofa with Dabin in his arms…...Xiao Rui was there purely to spectate.

Xiao Rui: “Relax. It’s Team OP, it’s not a big deal to lose to them. Progress comes from setbacks.”

He was also making sarcastic remarks.

Tong Yao rolled her eyes as she prepped for the match. She watched the Korean players also getting into their seats-- --After greeting each other, both sides didn’t waste much time talking but immediately entered the ban & pick phase right away.

Since players on both sides have large champion pools, they seemed rather casual about banning champions. However, it seemed both sides dreaded the other side’s bot and banned three AD champions: Ashe, Jhin, and Sivir, at the outset. Then both sides banned other stronger champions. They quickly moved into the pick phase-- --

The first thing the Korean team picked was Yasuo.

Tong Yao was shocked. She figured Jin Yuguang had a huge champion pool and he had picked Yasuo. If that was the case, then she figured she should make a safe choice to ensure that her champion would have a good chance to develop at mid while laning in the early game. After thinking it over, she decided to choose Azir, which had just helped her overcome her fear of Korean players. She locked her choice in.

About 5 seconds after Tong Yao had locked Azir in, the other side suddenly chose Taliyah. Tong Yao was dumbfounded.

Tong Yao: “Shit, Taliyah! Isn’t it Yasuo, hello? ! Then what’s the deal with Yasuo? For top? Top! How many players use Taliyah? He even dared to use it, shit!”

Lu Sicheng took his time to lock in Ezreal. His eyeballs rolled around a bit: “I seemed to hear the same talk not too long ago, where did I hear it-- --Where? Oh, when someone was exclaiming how Jin Yuguang was using Cassiopeia.”

Tong Yao raised her eyebrows: “No one uses Taliyah and Cassiopeia at competitions!”

Lu Sicheng: “Syndra was seldom used at competitions before you joined. Aren’t you still quite proud of yourself because of that? Taliyah can move quickly to support her allies, snowballs in the late game, has long reach and is a great nuker. In addition, she’s a champion who can counter the popular Azir in competitions. How could you say no one uses it? You shut up.”

Tong Yao: “......”

Lu Yue who was leaning against Tong Yao’s chair jumped in: “How do you feel being nitpicked about your champion pool? Welcome again into my world.”

Tong Yao: “You shut up.”

When the ban & pick phase ended, ZGDX had chosen Trundle for top, Rek’Sai for jungler, Azir for mid, Ezreal for ad, and Braum for support. Team OP had chosen Yasuo for top, Gragas for jungler, Taliyah for mid, Cho’Gath for ad, and Taric for support.

Seeing the enemy’s unusual champion choice, ZGDX became very quiet-- --

You're Beautiful When You Smile - Chapter 84 Part 1

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 84 Part 1

The next day was their scheduled training match against Team OP.

Despite being a practice game, Tong Yao and her teammates were of a particular mindset going into the game after they witnessed the Qing Dynasty incident last night-- --The Korean team OP happened to schedule the match at a time when the entire ZGDX team was itching for a fight against Korean players. The entire team had gotten up early to play ranked matches to get into the mode……

They were only one third of the way through the Chinese regional competition and the world tournament was still a long ways away. It wasn’t easy to have the chance to play a match against the Koreans. All they could do was try to arrange skirmishes against Korean teams-- --

After getting up in the morning, Little Fatty sent a moving and seemly inspirational Weibo post-- --

[Have you ever seen Shanghai at 7 am?]

Most of the ZGDX fans in Shanghai had similar replies:............................................Who hasn’t, except you?

Tong Yao: “I have never seen Little Fatty at 7 am, that’s the truth.”

“Don’t say anything. You’re the one who got up last today, coming down at 9. I’ve already played two ranked games. Tell me, do you not want to win today?” Little Fatty punched his keyboard without looking up. “Come on, come on, this idiot AD. Ahhhhh, he’s afraid to go in, then why are you playing AD, just go play snake-- --I recommend that you buy the book <On self-improvement as an AD>, written by Lu Sicheng.”

Tong Yao went behind Little Fatty and quickly hit tab to check the AD’s stats, 0 kills, 4 deaths, and 1 assist. The match was already at the 12 minute mark, no wonder Little Fatty was going crazy-- --

As Tong Yao was watching, this AD was still busying farming and died again to the enemy jungler…...The entire team, including Little Fatty, began cursing the AD in chat.

Tong Yao: “......Why get so angry.”

Little Fatty: “I’ll fall back to Diamond One if I lose this match.”

Tong Yao: “Oh.”

Little Fatty: “This month’s pay is walking away again.”

Tong Yao became quiet after hearing Little Fatty. She stepped back from Little Fatty’s chair. Little Fatty sensed her silence and sadly glanced back at Tong Yao: “Tong Yao, you’ve changed. When you first came here, you were willing to play duos with me at the time.”

“That’s true.” Tong Yao twitched the corner of her lips: “Until I saw you use Orianna, Yasuo, and Leblanc as support…...Honestly, isn’t it quite scary that you, a support, have such a similar champion pool as me, a mid?”

Lu Sicheng happened to come out from the kitchen and heard the conversation between Tong Yao and Little Fatty. He took a sip of his coffee before putting down the cup and said: “Little Fatty, don’t you feel ashamed mentioning your past history of bullying a newcomer.”

Little Fatty deflated his mouth and went back to his games.

Lu Sicheng went to sit down in his own seat: “You up.”

Tong Yao: “Uh.”

Lu Sicheng turned his head: “Duos?”

Tong Yao: “I’m at Challenger, can’t play duos.”

Lu Sicheng calmly said: “Oh. Lu Yue helped you drop back down to Masters yesterday.”

Tong Yao: “......”

Lu Sicheng: “Duos or not?”

Little Fatty: “What’s wrong with you two playing duos everyday.”

Lu Sicheng: “Get more points.”

Little Fatty: “Can’t you help me, the poor little support? I never see you this enthusiastic when playing with me. Tell me, are you looking down on the support?”

Lu Sicheng: “When I want to lose some points, I’ll play with you.”

Little Fatty: “......”

You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 83 Part 4

“But when I saw Team Wings win the Dota championship and waved the national flag onstage, I really envied them.”

“......”

“If someday I can do that as well, it would be great.” Tong Yao poked at the team uniform placed on her desk with a finger, “I want to qualify for the world tournament, want to win the championship, want to prove myself, and also want to prove to others that our LoL league is as good as the other regions.”

“......”

“Don’t you want that?” Tong Yao turned to look at Lu Sicheng.

Her black pupils were tired but unusually bright.

“...............................I want to have Calista’s skin even in my dreams.” Lu Sicheng said dryly, “But look at the time. Can you go to sleep now? Big dreamer.”

Tong Yao raised her head from her knees and frowned disapprovingly: “You don’t have dreams. You don’t want to win.”

Just as she finished speaking, a jacket fell onto her head, covering her whole face-- --It had a familiar smell to it. She realized that it was Lu Sicheng’s team uniform and struggled to pull it off her blushing face. As she was struggling, she heard the man’s calm voice nearby-- --

“Don’t talk nonsense. If I didn’t have dreams, I wouldn’t have chosen to leave the Korean region and come back to the Chinese region. Why do you think I did that? Just to be special?”

Tong Yao: “......”

She successfully pulled the jacket off her head.

Then a big hand reached from the side and pushed her: “Go sleep.”

Tong Yao’s body wobbled a bit from the push: “I’m not going.”

Lu Sicheng: “You don’t go to sleep, so you’re going to fly in the air?”

Tong Yao: “I’m not going to fly in the air. I’m just going to watch you.”

Lu Sicheng: “?”

Tong Yao: “Watch how our captain will shine when your personal appeal reaches the peak.”

Lu Sicheng: “...............................”

Little Fatty nearby was so amused by their exchange: “Tong Yao, why do you make fun of our captain just because you don’t like what he said.” Amid Little Fatty’s mocking laughter, Lu Sicheng paused, then mumbled: “Aren’t you a retard.” He stood up from his seat, Tong Yao raised her head to look at him: “Where are you going?”

Lu Sicheng replied with a stone face: “Go pee. Are you coming with me?”

Tong Yao didn’t follow what he was saying and asked in confusion: “What for?”

“Who knows.” Lu Sicheng pouted his thin lips, making a sarcastic expression: “Give me a hand and help me?”

“Don’t mind him.” As Lu Sicheng’s footsteps moved away, Little Fatty told Tong Yao with a self satisfied expression: “He’s shy, he’s shy. He’s just making an excuse. Our thin-skinned captain is going to the bathroom to hide his red face. He’ll slam the door soon, if you don’t believe me-- --”

Before Little Fatty could finish, a loud slamming sound came from the direction of the bathroom.

Tong Yao: “......”

He did slam the door and rather loudly.

Those Sweet Times - Chapter 69 Part 2

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

Those Sweet Times
Chapter 69 Part 2

“Excuse me……” Min Lili suddenly spoke, “Though I really want to pretend I’m not here, I have to remind you two that there’s a living person right next to you……”

Lin Chuyan turned to look at her and asked: “So you plan to keep standing here?”

“No, no, no. You guys go ahead. I’m going to get myself an ofo[1], bye!” As she was speaking, she carried her backpack and turned to run towards the parked bicycles.

“Let’s go.” Lin Chuyan took Xiang Nuan’s backpack and put it on his shoulders. The backpack wasn’t heavy, but he had grown accustomed to carrying it.

Xiang Nuan didn’t know how to interact with Lin Chuyan at the moment and sheepishly walked next to him with her eyes cast downwards and hands in her pockets.

Lin Chuyan asked her after they had walked for a short distance: “Do you like the house?”

“It’s very nice.” Xiang Nuan continued to stare at the ground. After a short pause, she added: “Hrm, it’s just a pity that there’s no light inside the house. Otherwise it would be even prettier.”

Lin Chuyan stopped and squinted at her.

What he could see was only the top of her head.

At this moment, Min Lili rode on her ofo past them. The little yellow bicycle moved crookedly under her, as if she would fall at any moment. Min Lili didn’t seem to care. As she passed by Xiang Nuan she asked her: “Nuannuan, are you still going to the market?”

“No, I’m not.”

“Oh, then I’ll buy some batteries for you.”

Xiang Nuan: “......”

Min Lili: “You’re welcome! I’m going!”

Xiang Nuan wasn’t going to thank her……

Xiang Nuan felt that she had quite the bad luck. She didn’t expect that her little scheme would be exposed in under a second.

Lin Chuyan burst into laughter.

Xiang Nuan was even more uneasy by his cheerful laughter.

“Why are you buying batteries for?” He asked, fully aware of the answer.

Xiang Nuan was embarrassed. All she wanted to do at the moment was to run away; she quickened her footsteps, eyes still looking downwards.

Lin Chuyan grabbed her wrist: “What are you running for?”

Xiang Nuan tried to free her hand but wasn’t successful.

Lin Chuyan went a step further; he slid his hand down to hold onto her hand.

Xiang Nuan’s hand was small and soft, wrapped in his burning hot palm like a small sailing boat parked inside a calm bay.

Xiang Nuan’s heartbeat quickened even more.

Lin Chuyan could finally hold Xiang Nuan’s hand. It was a deeply satisfying feel. He had never felt this good before.

“We’re boyfriend and girlfriend now since we’ve held hands.” He said.

“Hey, I haven’t said yes yet.”

“If you don’t want to, then take your hand back.”

He was holding her hand so tightly that it would take Hercules or a contortionist to pull her hand out of his grip.

“Lin Chuyan, you’re shameless.”

“I am shameless and I’m shamelessly holding on to you.”

You're Beautiful When You Smile - Chapter 83 Part 3

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 83 Part 3

At 1:30 in the morning, “In your name” finally deleted all of her Weibo posts.

Then ten minutes later, “Guoguo” also started to delete her Weibo posts.

By 1:45 am, there was nothing left on “Guoguo’s” Weibo account except one newly posted message with only three words: It has ended : )

At 1:50 am, Lu Sicheng stood up to get some water. When he passed by Tong Yao’s seat, he backtracked a bit and pushed the back of her head down with some force: “Look at the time, why haven’t you gone to sleep?” Tong Yao kept looking down at her cell phone.

Tong Yao lifted her phone up to show Lu Sicheng the long Weibo post by the staff member: “Look at this, Cheng Ge. This person said it well!”

Lu Sicheng took the phone. At first he was only indifferently skimming over it, after reading a couple of lines, he suddenly leaned against the back of Tong Yao’s chair and carefully read through the whole post-- --

Afterwards, he stuffed the phone back into her hand who was now holding onto the back of her chair and staring at him. Lu Sicheng briefly commented: “This person said it well.”

Tong Yao: “How come?”

Lu Sicheng: “It’s good all over.”

Tong Yao grabbed Lu Sicheng’s sleeve as he was about to walk away: “Let’s hear it, let’s hear it?”

Lu Sicheng glanced at the fingers that were holding onto his sleeve tightly-- --She was holding onto it with enough force that the tips of her fingertips were white. Despite clinging somewhat tightly, it would be rather easy for him to pull his sleeve out of her grip-- --But he didn’t do that. He lightly sighed, then looked away from the hand on his sleeve.

He let her continue gripping his sleeve.

Then Lu Sicheng slowly started talking: “If some of the clubs in this country actually rethought and took care when hiring Korean help after this incident, then this whole scandal wouldn’t be a bad thing after all…...This business needed a clean up a long time ago.”

Tong Yao released Lu Sicheng.

“Actually, most clubs understand the things that person brought up, but they’re afraid to face it. Just like right now, we can wait and see whether Qing Dynasty has the courage and determination to-- --set their ethos straight even if it means the team will probably fall out of the major league.”

After speaking his mind, Lu Sicheng turned to go to the kitchen and get a cup of coffee.

Tong Yao stared at his back for a while, then turned and sat back down in her own chair-- --She held her knees to her chest, stared at her cell phone, then wandered off…...When Lu Sicheng came back with the coffee and sat back down in his chair, he found the person next to him seemed to have spaced out staring at her phone

He was quiet for a moment, then looked back at his computer screen constantly clicking his mouse. His eyes were focused on the computer screen as if he was seriously checking his stats from the last few ranked games. As he was looking forwards, he spoke as if very casually: “What are you thinking of?”

He didn’t indicate who he was addressing with the question

However, the person next to him started to answer his question quite naturally.

“I’m just happy for myself that I’ve joined an all Chinese team. Well, I’m not saying that Korean help isn't good, but in comparison, it’s much better to have five Chinese players in one team.” Tong Yao put her chin in between her two knees and said in a low voice: “They all say that LoL has only regions, not countries. It’s a competition among all the clubs-- --I understand all that……”

“......”

Those Sweet Times - Chapter 69 Part 1

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

Those Sweet Times
Chapter 69 Part 1

Afraid that playing with the miniature house would bother her roommates, Xiang Nuan hid inside the bathroom to open and close the little door to the living room over and over, listening to Lin Chuyan saying he likes her over and over.

She was overflowed with joy listening to it.

Min Lili grew concerned about her, afraid that she was going insane.

Finally, she had used the batteries in the little house up and had nothing better to do but go to sleep.

It took her a long while before she could get over her excitement and fall asleep. The next morning, she woke up with bluish circles under her eyes as if someone had punched her.

Xiang Nuan put on some basic makeup on her face, taking extra effort to cover the black circles.

While dabbing on concealer, Xiang Nuan asked Min Lili, who was brushing her teeth next to Xiang Nuan: “Lili, want to go with me to the market after class?”

Min Lili mumbled with a mouth full of foam: “Sure. What do you want to buy?”

“Some batteries.”

-- --

Lin Chuyan had two phone calls the next morning, neither were from Xiang Nuan.

The first call was from Chen Yinghu, who expressed how he missed Lin Chuyan despite the fact that they hadn’t parted for over 24 hours yet.

The other call was from Oblivion. He informed Li Chuyan that he would arrive at Nanshan train station at noon time today.

Lin Chuyan went through two disappointments in one morning. He lowered his head to check his contact list on his phone.

If he was being truthful, he wasn’t very confident about Xiang Nuan’s intelligence in understanding his confession.

He put away his cell phone, got changed, and went out the door.

……

Xiang Nuan had only one class in the morning. After class, she and Min Lili discussed what to eat for lunch while walking out of the building. When they came out of the building, Xiang Nuan noticed a man standing under the Japanese pagoda tree near the entrance.

The man had light skin, hair parted in the middle, and long legs. Wasn’t this Lin Chuyan?

As if he had sensed something at the same time, Lin Chuyan also found Xiang Nuan among the crowd coming out of the building.

The two of them looked at each other. Xiang Nuan’s heartbeat quickened. She walked towards him. Her steps seemed much light-heeled than usual.

Lin Chuyan was wearing a white jacket today, with pale blue jeans, and white sneakers. Though he was dressed casually, he still caught the attention of the people passing by.

Xiang Nuan walked over to him and asked: “Why are you here?” She didn't have the courage to look him in the eyes, so she looked straight forward at his collar, which happened to be at her eye level.

She could faintly see the contours of his collar bone through his slightly opened collar.

It looked good.

Lin Chuyan lowered his head to check Xiang Nuan’s expression, then as if to accommodate Xiang Nuan’s wish, he raised his hand to pull the zipper on his jacket a little bit downwards.

Xiang Nuan: - _ - #

She felt like she was acting like a pervert……

He saw her expression change, then held the zipper and asked: “You want more?” He acted as if he was about to pull the zipper down further as he spoke.

“Don’t, don’t, don’t, don’t!” Xiang Nuan, startled, covered her eyes.

Then she heard him say with a voice that had a hint of laughter: “There’s a sweater inside. What are you thinking of?”

Xiang Nuan blushed.

You're Beautiful When You Smile - Chapter 83 Part 2

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 83 Part 2

The staff member posted: [Exposing a secret. You can believe it or not.

Qing Dynasty treats the Korean like he’s the boss; everything is his call, no one on the team has the courage to go against him. Actually, for last week’s match against ZGDX, the team didn’t want to focus on ZGDX’s mid-- --Any idiot would know our team isn't on par with ZGDX in the other lanes. But they did it anyway, why? Because the other teammates couldn’t say no! He blames ZGDX mid for not covering for him about the movie theatre incident. He did it simply because he’s holding a grudge against her.

Nobody dare deny it. What he did that day was so obvious. Even the commentators couldn’t make up an excuse for him, despite the fact that they’re required to be impartial while commenting. Hehe, we could say that even the commentators couldn’t stand it.

Then the question is, why does he hate her so much?

It’s because the teammates on his own club are too docile to him. So he thinks all the Chinese are like that and can’t take it when there’s a person who stands up to him……

Some Koreans simply look down on you from the bottom of their hearts.

Pay attention, I said some Koreans.

However, there’s not much we can do about that. Because, we indeed are weaker than them in LoL competitions-- --

This is why the Chinese region really needs to win a championship now. Whichever team achieves that will be the  Liu Xiang of League of Legends.[1] At least personally, I think the team will never fall out of favor for the rest of our lives.

To be honest, this isn’t just a problem with this particular Korean player, this is a general phenomenon-- --I’m not going to deny there are quite a few Korean help who’re truly devoted to their clubs to the point that they probably even wish they could join the Party. As far as I know, Li Huanshuo of Huawei, Pope and Xbang of YQCB and Ahlulu of Doomsday Orcs are all pretty good Korean help…...Look at YQCB, isn’t Pope a top player? YQCB was still fighting to keep their seat in the major league in the Spring season, but YQCB doesn’t let him do whatever he wants. By the Summer season, the team is already soaring. There’s not much to say about Huawei which is traditionally a strong team. But for Doomsday Orcs, it doesn’t have many star players but is able to still firmly stay in the major league-- --Why? Because all these teams have discipline. The Korean help isn't everything, not even when they always carry the game. Everything has to follow the rules.

The strength of a team isn’t decided by whether the team has the greatest number of star players and looks good on paper. It’s true that the Qing Dynasty has done very well in the Spring season, but that really is just a fleeting phenomenon. When the club’s turned into a club ruled by the voice of one person, it’s begun to rot at the roots.

-- --Nowadays, there are many teams like the Qing Dynasty where management has lost the ability to rein in their Korean players and let them do or say as they wish. It really isn’t just a problem with the Qing Dynasty. To tell the truth, I personally believe if the Chinese major league can’t rectify these kinds of practices and unhealthy tendencies, the major league will go under sooner or later.

Even if it's four Chinese with one Korean or three Chinese with two Koreans, if the team can’t work together as a team, how can they beat a team of five Koreans?

I know there are many people at the management level of various clubs who read Tieba regularly.

You should all think it over carefully. Am I speaking the truth?]

The long post from this self-proclaimed insider made many readers ponder.

The whole incident wasn’t about Xu Tailun anymore, rather the incident had caused people to rethink the trending phenomenon of recruiting Korean help in the Chinese esports community……

It wasn’t until one o’clock in the morning, when there was more than a thousand comments under this long post, that ‘In you name’ started to delete her Weibo posts as if she had just woken up to the storm she had helped create. By that point, her Weibo post had already been screen shotted from beginning to end by the internet. To delete her Weibo at this time looked more like she was trying to cover up something. It further confirmed to most people that everything on her page was true.

You're Beautiful When You Smile - Chapter 83 Part 1

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 83 Part 1

Tong Yao was streaming ranked matches when Xu Tailun was being exposed on Tieba. When she was waiting in queue, she went on Weibo to look around and happened to see someone had forwarded the Weibo posts from “In your name.” The moment she saw the picture of the little kitten, she realized what had happened.

She cried out: “Shit.” She almost wanted to raise both of her hands to declare that this time it wasn’t her who had started the controversy.

In the meantime, Old K who was playing duos with Tong Yao also saw the post on Weibo while waiting in queue. Before Tong Yao could stop him from shouting out loud, he called out: “Shit, who is this “In your name”? Qing Dynasty jungler’s fangirl? Is this that fangirl? What, she even bought a shirt for him-- --Why aren't there any fans buying a Givenchy for me?”

Tong Yao: “......”

Lu Sicheng: “Because you don’t have any fans.”

Old K ignored him and continued reading the Tieba posts: “Then who’s this ‘Guoguo?’ The one who liked the post from ‘In your name’?”

Little Fatty answered: “You idiot! Who else can it be? It must be ‘In your name’ herself! The same person! Xu Tailun always says that he and his girlfriend are so in love and PDA everyday on stream-- --Maybe something he said on one of the streams was the last straw and that fangirl became desperate, she exposed the whole thing herself! Nice!”

Lu Sicheng: “Why do you all like to gossip so much?”

Tong Yao: “Yeah, why gossip so much?  I have my stream on. Watch your language.”

Old K: “But he said Chinese LoL is weak.”

Little Fatty: “I feel like I’ve been stereotyped. My all Chinese team had just defeated him last week. Old K cornered him in the jungle. And he has the guts to say that Chinese LoL is weak?”

Old K: “Yeah, I really can’t stand this.”

Tong Yao watched them become more and more annoyed. While what they said was true, those words were still unsuitable for the public. If someone with ill intentions recorded them, then there might be another wave of controversies. Tong Yao turned to announce to the stream that she was going to rest now and would end the stream…...However, her fans weren’t stupid-- --

[Don’t turn it off, it’s just getting interesting!]

[.................................Don’t tell us you’re going to rest. You’ve been playing rank till one or two o’clock in the morning almost everyday lately. You want to turn off the stream so you can go watch more gossip, right?]

[66666666 Your teammates can really gossip!]

[But I feel the same as Little Fatty. Even though the Chinese region has never won the championship, I’m still very angry that he said our LoL is weak!]

[Don’t be angry. What he said is the naked truth. Let the Chinese team win the championship so we can slap his face.]

[Tsk, tsk, tsk, why do you say so at a time like this! Get lost!]

[So disappointed. I thought Xu Tailun was a very nice person……]

……

Tong Yao still turned off her stream against the protests of her chat.

She then indeed logged onto Tieba to continue to read gossip-- --

By this point, the whole thing wasn’t just a simple incident about Xu Tailun losing his fans.

They had dug out more posts from “In your name”, that made it impossible to brush aside, including how he conducted himself, how he recklessly called his teammates names while working for the Chinese club, and a bed photo-- --In the beginning, there still were people trying to whitewash the incident saying “who’s this” or “nowadays, anyone can create a Weibo account to post random WeChat conversations to lead the public on.”-- --Until the bed photo was posted. In the picture, Xu Tailun slept on the bed, covered by a blanket up to his chest, and in his arm, lied a girl with her face blurred……

No one could argue that they were in bed just to have a chat.

The ones who would defend Xu Tailun became fewer and fewer-- --

The image Xu Tailun had maintained up till now, “a nice guy” “studied hard to learn Chinese” “one of the Korean help who’s devoted and wants to win”, had totally collapsed.

Once in a while, there would be comments like “as long as he plays games well, it'll be fine”, then they would be attacked…...It was like when a wall was about to fall, more people would give it a shove. More and more people came to diss Xu Tailun and declare that they had turned from fans to anti-fans. One man claimed to be a staff member on Qing Dynasty who had come out to spill the beans-- --

You're Beautiful When You Smile - Chapter 82 Part 2

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 82 Part 2

Half a year ago happened to be around the time Xu Tailun joined Qing Dynasty.

-- --Out of curiosity, the fangirl started to carefully check all the posts on the account of “In your name.” What caught her attention was the latest post. The post was a picture of a sickly little kitten lying on a mat, the surroundings looked like it was in a vet’s office. The caption under the picture was: [Little baby, get well soon. It’s all my fault. I worry about you so much : ( ]

The little kitten was the same kitten walking around in front of Xu Tailun’s camera during his stream.

The fangirl remembered that Xu Tailun had said during the stream that afternoon that a staff member had taken the kitten to the vet. She looked at the Weibo account and it obviously wasn’t from one of the staff. It was hard to imagine what had gone through this fangirl’s mind when she found this Weibo account-- --

But no matter what was on her mind, she kept following through all the other posts.

The day before, the first post on “In your name” was: [A fight, upset. Don’t know whether it’s because I’m not good enough yet. I’ve tried my best. So I’m still not as good as her? Or it’s just that we can’t go public?]

The second post was: [Feel like I can't see the future. Perhaps to you, my existence is only something dispensable?]

The day before that, “In your name” posted: [Buy, buy, buy : d]

The picture came with a screenshot of a money transfer for a purchase in the 4 figures with a note: Givenchy Summer latest style xxxxx short sleeved shirt.

The day before that, “In your name” posted: [Xixixixixixi.]

The picture had the note: PDA on Wechat.
Man: “Baby, are you sleeping?”
Woman: “I’ll keep you company, alright?”
Man: “Go sleep now. I have to play games, I need to win this week.”
Then the man sent the woman a red envelope.
Man: “Be good, go sleep after taking the red envelope.”
The amount in the red envelope is 5.20 RMB.[1]

The day before that, the post on “In your name” was: [I’m not happy when you’re not. I hope you can cheer up. I know you really want to win. Don’t be unhappy, alright?]

The picture was the screenshot of a chat history on WeChat. The man said:  “We lost the match. Teammates were idiots. Once I wasn’t there, they collapsed. So weak, why are they playing professionally.” The woman said: “Ahh, it’s alright. You’ll win next time.” The man said: “A bunch of idiots. Why do I have to lead a bunch of idiots to win. Chinese LoL is really weak.”
The woman said: “Don’t say that.” The man emphasized: “Really bad. Next year, I’ll go back to Korea or switch teams. If it weren’t for the fact that they pay more, I wouldn’t have come here.”

Many…...who knew how many days before that, maybe it was the day when Xu Tailun first showed off the kitten.

“In your name” posted on Weibo: [Went to the flower and pet market, bought this, so happy. As if there is a bonding as well as sustenance.]

The picture: That familiar little kitten.

…....

After reading all these posts, if the fangirl still hadn’t figured out what was going on, she was a fool-- --The moment she realized that she seemed to have discovered terribly big news, she quickly saved the link to “In your name” and screenshots of certain important posts with the dates.

Then she turned to post on Tieba-- --

[Damn it! A disillusioned Qing Dynasty fan! Where’s that nice guy Xu Tailun!]

Under the title, there were many screenshots from Weibo. Within a minute, there were dozens of replies and they were all like “Damn, what’s this” “Leave a comment before this becomes the hot topic” “You good, little sister”......

-- --From there, a bloody storm was unleashed!

[1]: In Chinese 520 has a similar pronunciation to “I love you.”

Those Sweet Times - Chapter 68 Part 4

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

Those Sweet Times
Chapter 68 Part 4

Xiang Nuan held the box in her arms, trying to tear the wrapping paper off. But the box was so large that she had to hold it with both hands and couldn’t remove the wrapping paper.

Lin Chuyan took a look at her ankles again and felt cold for her. So he said: “Bring it back to your room and open it.”

“Oh, thank you.”

“Remember to give me a call tomorrow, tell me what you think.”

“Ha?”

Xiang Nuan was baffled but Lin Chuyan turned to walk away, one hand carrying his suitcase and the other one waving goodbye over his shoulder.

Xiang Nuan took the box back to her room and peeled off layers of wrapping paper, like peeling an onion. Finally, she saw what was inside the box.

It was a beautiful wooden house.

It was a normal house, just miniaturized. It was built like a real house with a roof, windows, furniture, a garden…...Everything was rendered rather realistically.

Xiang Nuan held her face with both of her hands and her heart was thumping.

Min Lili walked by and saw the little house on Xiang Nuan’s desk. She was surprised: “Wow, so pretty. Where did you get this?” As she was talking, her hand reached over trying to touch it.

Xiang Nuan pushed her hand away: “Don’t touch it, don’t touch it.”

“Hey, Nuannuan, what’s that expression on your face? Why are you blushing while looking at a house? What are you thinking about?”

Xiang Nuan gently pushed her away: “Go, go. You don’t understand.”

Min Lili boisterously replied: “What! What don’t I understand? I’ve read pronographic books, have you?”

“Please don’t talk about that kind of thing with such an arrogant tone……”

Xiang Nuan pushed Min Lili away and continued to enjoy her little house with a red face.

Lin Chuyan’s hands are so crafted, it was almost like a woman's hands. She pushed open the little window on the house, touched the little beds, little desks, and little chairs. Then she played with the columns and fences. The lamp on her own desk was so bright that the little house seemed a little dark in comparison.

If there was a light inside the little house, it would be perfect. She thought to herself.

Xiang Nuan searched the little house up and down. When she reached the bottom of the house, she found a small moveable board there. She removed the board and found three batteries inside.

Hrm?

If there were batteries, then there must be a light she could turn on. But where was the switch……

She looked for a while; then when she pushed open the door to the living room on the first floor, the room lit up instantly.

The light had an orange glow, soft and warm, adding a more human touch to the house.

Xiang Nuan turned off her own lamp on the desk and the light inside the little house became even brighter.

And even prettier.

Xiang Nuan leaned on her desk, resting her chin on her elbow, smiling.

Right at that moment, a voice came from the little house. The voice was clean, gentle, and with a hint of laughter: “I like you.”

Xiang Nuan was taken aback.

Min Lili and the other two roommates were also startled.

Min Lili: “Who? Who’s talking? ! Why is there a man in our room? !”

Xiang Nuan understood right away.

She closed the door to the living room and the light turned off; when she pushed opened again, the light lit up again.

Then a little while later, the voice sounded again, still clean and warm: “I like you.”

Xiang Nuan’s face and heart were burning hot. She held her face with both of her hands, buried her face into her desk and giggled, ignoring what her roommates would think.

You're Beautiful When You Smile - Chapter 82 Part 1

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 82 Part 1

“......Ur, captain.”

“What?”

Tong Yao took a look at the man sitting down next to her with an empty water bottle in his hand: “You know, if we were living in ancient times, you would have had to marry me after saying that nonsense.”

Lu Sicheng logged on to get in queue and fixed his eyes on his computer screen: “Oh. Then, so what?”

Tong Yao kicked him under the desk and raised her eyebrows: “Marry me.”

Lu Sicheng seemed nonchalant: “Oh.”

Tong Yao kicked him again: “Are you scared?”

Lu Sicheng finally turned his head to glance over her. Then he abruptly asked a question: “Do you know how to cook?”

Tong Yao replied without hesitation: “No.”

Lu Sicheng: “Then that means you only know how to eat? Then I’m scared.”

Tong Yao: “......”

Tong Yao: “Are you a human being? Why can’t you speak nicely?”

Lu Sicheng: “You force me to do it.”

Tong Yao: “So you’re blaming me.”

Lu Sicheng: “Who else to blame if not you?”

Tong Yao: “......”

Tong Yao was using all her might to control herself and challenge her limits everyday so as not to throw her computer on the head of the man next to her…...Sometimes, Tong Yao had to question whether it was because all the fangirls’ compassion and tolerance that made all these internet addicted players overlook their limits of personal appeal and actual value-- --

All the sweet talk from the fans made these players talk crazily and do crazy things……

If there was a ‘Wonder Woman’ among the fans who could come out and let all these men see themselves more clearly, it would be wonderful.

-- --At first, it was just Tong Yao’s personal fancy.

What she didn’t expect was that heaven above seemed to have heard her inner cry and in less than 8 hours, a ‘Wonder Woman’ really appeared!

……

The incident started with a young lady, the leader of Qing Dynasty's fan group. Her Weibo id was “Guoguo.”

Guoguo often produced and edited highlights and memes of streams from Qing Dynasty players and gradually became quite friendly with the team’s staff. As such, she usually had some insider information about the daily life of the team to share with other fans…...As times went by, she became a popular poster who had twenty thousand fans herself.

Everyone knew Guoguo was the moderator of Xu Tailun’s stream and the leader of Xu Tailun’s personal fan group. But she always kept a low profile and never got involved in any arguments or controversies. She would never create small circles to exclude anyone either-- --

She had earned the support of Qing Dynasty’s fans. In the eyes of all those fans, she was always there when Xu Tailun was streaming. To the fanbase, she seemed to have the time and money to do so, was low key, and had insider information.

That night around 8 o’clock, one of Qing Dynasty’s fans, having nothing better to do after dinner, started to browse Guoguo’s Weibo. This fan only wanted to see some interesting stream highlights of Qing Dynasty's players from the day before, which she had missed. As she was checking the Weibo posts, she noticed a notification of Guoguo liking another post on another Weibo account called “In your name”-- --

Out of curiosity, this fangirl went to check “In your name” on Weibo.

Then she discovered something peculiar about this account. It was obviously a personal alternate Weibo account, which had a couple of bots that had followed with 0 shares, 0 comments, and 0 likes. However, she posted quite often on it. The posts started about half a year ago, numbering about two to three posts a day.

Those Sweet Times - Chapter 68 Part 3

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

Those Sweet Times
Chapter 68 Part 3

It was a sketch of a small beautifully structured two-story house, with a small garden.

Chen Yinghu took a look and returned the phone to Lin Chuyan: “Tsk, you designed this yourself?”

“En.”

“Why are you fussing with this stuff? It’s like a girl thing.”

“It’s a gift.”

“For whom?”

Lin Chuyan twitched the corner of his lips and the looks in his eyes became gentle: “Xiang Nuan.”

Chen Yinghu didn’t bother asking any more questions. Lin Chuyan’s look of affection only made him hurt more.

-- --

Lin Chuyan stayed at Chen Yinghu’s place for a week, after Chen Yinghu had recovered somewhat from his initial state of distress.

He had also successfully built the miniature house. He had even gone to find clean pebbles to put in the garden and sowed grass seeds.

Lin Chuyan even made a wooden fish for Chen Yinghu with the leftover wood.

“What’s the meaning of this!” Chen Yinghu wasn’t very happy. “You saying I should become a monk?”

Lin Chuyan then modified the wooden fish; turning it over and hollowing it out to make it into a wooden bowl. He also turned the mallet for striking the wooden fish into a spoon.

Chen Yinghu had to admit that Lin Chuyan was extremely flexible.

“I have to leave now.” Lin Chuyan told him: “School starts today.”

Chen Yinghu nodded: “I’ll see you off.”

Chen Yinghu finally was willing to step out of his apartment.

The two of them were in the airport for quite some time because Lin Chuyan’s flight was delayed. They ate an unforgettable dinner at the airport.

The dinner was unforgettable because it was very salty.

When Lin Chuyan’s flight landed at Nanshan Airport, it was already past nine o’clock at night. He took a taxi to Yuanchi campus.

-- --

It was 10:30 in the evening when Xiang Nuan received a phone call from Lin Chuyan.

“Hello, Lin Chuyan.” When Xiang Nuan spoke his name, she didn’t know why but she was a little emotional. Ever since Lin Chuyan had gone to keep Chen Yinghu company, he hadn’t contacted her as often as before and stopped playing games with her. It was as if he was deliberately giving her the cold shoulder.

Xiang Nuan even dreamt one time that Lin Chuyan told her the person he really liked was Hu Ge. Xiang Nuan immediately woke up from the shock.

Lin Chuyan: “Come out.” His words were simple and direct.

Xiang Nuan was confused: “Eh?”

“I’m downstairs, outside your dorm.”

Xiang Nuan ran to the balcony to look down and saw him right away. The street lights stretched his shadow down the sidewalk. Lin Chuyan was also looking up at Xiang Nuan’s direction and it seemed he had noticed her.

A warm feeling filled Xiang Nuan’s heart. She put on a down jacket over her pajamas and ran down the stairs with her slippers.

She slowed down when she saw him and walked towards him step by step. He looked worn out and had a suitcase standing next to him. He was holding a box in his hand.

Lin Chuyan watched her come towards him, her face becoming clearer and clearer. His heart was throbbing.

When she drew near, he looked her from top to bottom, noticing her down jacket and her pajama pants with tiny pink hearts prints. Finally, his eyes stayed at her thin naked ankles.

“You don’t have money to buy socks?” He asked.

“No……” Xiang Nuan was embarrassed. She began to feel the cold around her ankles after he reminded her. She asked him: “Lin Chuyan, it’s late, what are you up to?” It was just a normal conversation, but her heartbeat quickened.

Lin Chuyan handed her a square box.

The box was huge, larger than a birthday cake. It was wrapped in gift wrap. Xiang Nuan didn’t know what was inside.

“What is this?” Xiang Nuan took the box and asked.

“The thing you wanted.”

“What thing did I want?”

“Take a look yourself.”

You're Beautiful When You Smile - Chapter 81 Part 3

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 81 Part 3

That night, Tong Yao saw the kitten, which was sickly at the vet during the day, on Xu Tailun’s stream. The kitten seemed to have recovered a bit and was walking around in front of Xu’s camera-- --

Xu’s fans were all commented on how cute the kitten is or how the kitten is looking better.

[It’s better now after getting a shot. I asked a staff member to take the kitten for me to get the shot.]

Tong Yao: “......”

What staff member.

[It’s nothing, it’s not feline distemper.] Xu Tailun continued in fluent Chinese. [It’s just a cold, really. It’s much better after returning from the vet. I wanted to take it there but I had a training match in the afternoon…...The training match? We won. Against which team? Not saying.]

He laughed as he spoke.

His protruding canine teeth showed as he smiled, he seemed in a very good mood.

His fans showered him in praise, “You’re cuter than the cat”, “Your Chinese 66666”......Tong Yao rolled her eyes and as she was being disgusted with his behavior, a big hand reached over from behind to turn off Xu Tailun’s stream-- --

“What’s wrong with you, watching him while being disgusted with him?”

Her captain’s tepid voice came from behind.

Tong Yao patted the hand that had covered her mouse and tried to grab the mouse back: “Get away, don’t turn off the stream. I’m disgusted with him but that doesn’t reduce the enjoyment I have from watching him act-- --Everything he says is a lie, it’s rare to see someone who can fool everyone whenever he opens his mouth. This is a live textbook example of how all males in the esports world are undesirable!”

Lu Sicheng bent over and wouldn’t let go of Tong Yao’s mouse: “Tsk, what crazy things you’re talking about.”

Tong Yao pulled on his fingers: “All of them are scumbags, liars.”

Lu Sicheng put more force on his hand: “It’s only that you haven’t met any good ones. Don’t stereotype us.”

Tong Yao now tried to pry open his fingers: “What do you mean ‘I haven’t met any good ones.’ So, it’s my fault? Why don’t you point out some good men in this business-- --Someone with good temperament, plays good games, looks good, has patience, and won’t fool around or cheat!”

“There certainly is someone like that.” Lu Sicheng’s hand relaxed a bit.

“Who?” Tong Yao took the chance to stuff her fingers in between the mouse and Lu Sicheng’s palm, then she asked without looking up.

Lu Sicheng was silent for three seconds.

“Me.”

“What?” Tong Yao was still focusing on prying his hand off the mouse.

“I said, me.” Pushing down his wrist, Lu Sicheng’s palm now pressed down on the fingers that were moving around under his palm. “Do you want to have a try?”

Tong Yao’s fingers were stuck between the mouse and his palm.

Tong Yao: “......”

Lu Sicheng: “......”

Tong Yao confusedly raised her head to look at the man behind her who was now bending half way down.

Not far from them, all the other teammates who were concentrating on their ranked matches just a second ago were now all staring at Tong Yao and Lu Sicheng, baffled…...Little Fatty even threw his mouse.

Tong Yao: “What did you say?”

She looked into that pair of dark brown pupils, trying to make clear of his emotions right now…...Yet, she failed to see anything in them. The pair of pupils were darker than usual, as deep as the ocean. She couldn’t make out anything.

Lu Sicheng let go of her hand.

The temperature which was on top of her fingers disappeared-- --

“It’s nothing.” Lu Sicheng casually said: “I’m just saying. Look how scared you got. Good for nothing.”

Tong Yao: “.........................................”

Tong Yao: “Gee! How can you make a joke about this? ? ? ? ?”

“Sure I can.” Lu Sicheng walked over to the refrigerator, pulled the door open, and squatted down until his whole body disappeared behind the refrigerator door: “I can if I say so.”

Tong Yao pulled off her slippers, raised them up and waved it at Lu Sicheng’s direction-- --

But what she couldn’t see at the moment……

The man squatting down behind the refrigerator door didn’t reach for anything inside the fridge…...He used one of his hands to hold his forehead, kept still for a while, then released his hand with a rather helpless look. Then he reached over to take out a bottle of water, twisted open the cap, and gulped down the entire bottle.

You're Beautiful When You Smile - Chapter 81 Part 2

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 81 Part 2

Occasionally, Tong Yao would discuss with Lu Sicheng about OP mid’s precise movements. Later on, Lu Sicheng felt the commentator was too noisy and turned down the volume-- --

Then Tong Yao found that with her head turned to the side, she was very close to Lu Sicheng, so close that she could hear him breathe.

“After the last patch, I haven’t seen anyone using Cassiopeia competitively…...Jin Yuguang’s really something, a little wimpy in the early game and after reaching level 3, he just kept harassing others. Even Victor seems unable to handle him.”

“So do you know how to play this champion?”

“En, no, I don’t.”

“Why not?”

“........................................I just don’t. You think I have a champion ocean? She’s hard to play. She can’t buy boots after the last patch and her speed only goes up as she levels. You have to get really familiar with the speed at each level to be figure out when’s the best time to attack or retreat. You can get killed if you’re not careful!”

“Then, why can Jin Yuguang use it?”

“He’s Jin Yuguang! You can’t compare me with him? !”

“If I can’t compare him to you, then who should I compare you to? If you aren’t better than him, how can we win the championship?”

“......”

That sounded reasonable?

Tong Yao became quiet.

The little kitten on her lap yawned, stretched, and staggered to stand on the mat. The kitten curiously looked at Tong Yao with its round eyes-- --Tong Yao used her finger tips to scratch under its chin and the kitten tilted its head to rub against Tong Yao’s fingers……

Lu Sicheng paused the video.

He turned his head sideways to watch the person next to him as she became distracted playing with the kitten.

He heard her murmur: “So cute, I really want to kidnap you.”

Lu Sicheng: “......”

-- --They heard the noise of high heels coming towards them. A slender figure with long hair hurriedly approached the car. The faint smell of perfume floated into the car through the open window. A face with perfect makeup appeared at the window, blocking the sunlight.

“Sorry, Smiling. I ran into traffic on my way back from my office. Thank you for taking care of it for me.”

The young lady who had asked Tong Yao to look after the kitten temporarily had come back. She bent over, apologizing while thanking Tong Yao at the same time. Then she carefully took the kitten and held it in her arms-- --She was careful handling the kitten and Tong Yao could tell from her eyes that she still cared for the kitten.

“It’s alright.”

Tong Yao sounded more gentle now. She repeated what she had told Lu Sicheng earlier about how to take care of a kitten with a cold. Then she opened the door, jumped out of the car, and walked back to the shop to pick up Dabing who had now been bathed and gotten its nails clipped.

-- --When she came back to the car, the young lady wasn’t there anymore.

Tong Yao looked around until the man inside the luxury car impatiently lowered the window and called out to her. She hurriedly crouched down to get into the car with the cage holding Dabing.

She thought a bit after sitting down: “She can’t be returning the kitten back to Qing Dynasty’s base?”

Lu Sicheng lazily answered: “It seems that Xu Tailun’s fans are quite fond of the cat, so it should be sent back to their base.”

Tong Yao frowned.

“What?” Lu Sicheng asked: “Don’t tell me you’re thinking of stealing the cat from their base?”

“I really do.”

“You can think about it, but aren’t allowed to do it.”

“......”

You're Beautiful When You Smile - Chapter 81 Part 1

Translated by Team DHH at http://dhh-workshop.blogspot.com.

You’re Beautiful When You Smile
Chapter 81 Part 1

Tong Yao was looking at the little kitten lying next to her hand and figured that Lu Sicheng wasn’t here to pick her up but to prevent her from stealing a kitten…...She mindlessly replied to the pet shop worker: “You got it wrong, he’s my co-worker, not my boyfriend-- --”

Lu Sicheng happened to push the door open and walk in just then and hear Tong Yao’s denial.

His hand paused on the door. Tong Yao was looking down and didn’t see him. When she raised her head up, Lu Sicheng had already removed the expression on his face and was standing right in front of Tong Yao with a poker face. He took a look at the kitten next to her, the expression on his face somehow became even more inscrutable: “Didn’t you come here to get Dabing a bath?”

“......I am.”

Tong Yao pointed towards the back. Lu Sicheng looked in the direction where she was pointing and could see a struggling Ragdoll cat through the transparent glass window…...His facial expression relaxed a bit. He looked back and pointed at the kitten next to Tong Yao with his chin: “Why is Xu Tailun’s cat with you?”

“I happened to see you know that person who went out with him.” Tong Yao thought about it and didn’t know how to address that young lady: “You know, his that person. She took the kitten here to see the vet-- --They probably thought it had feline distemper like all weak cats, but the blood test shows the kitten just has the common cold……”

Tong Yao grabbed the blood test report on the desk to show him. Lu Sicheng took a glance without checking the details.

“This is why you plan to steal-- --”

Before he could finish his sentence, Tong Yao nervously covered his mouth-- --Lu
Sicheng cast his eyes down at her. His cold stare made Tong Yao rather embarrassed and she withdrew her hand. She rubbed her hands against each other and said uneasily: “Don’t say it out loud. The staff here would think that I’d really do that…...I’m just thinking that Xu Tailun and her don’t really want to raise the cat, nor know how, so why bother. If they had the kitten tested for feline distemper right after they bought it, then they didn’t need to bring the kitten to see a vet just for a cold. It hasn't gotten inoculated yet and it’s fragile against the germs in the hospital. A minor cold can be treated simply by keeping it warm and feeding it Synulox. Even the vet will only prescribe canned L-lysine for the common cold. How could they bring the kitten here? I asked the vet and the kitten doesn’t have a serious diarrhea problem either. They even asked the vet to give the kitten a shot. What does such a little kitten need a shot for-- --”

Lu Sicheng continued silently staring down at Tong Yao who had begun seriously nagging about raising a cat with furrowed brows.

He didn’t interrupt her.

Though he didn’t understand much of what she was saying, he didn’t really care about raising a kitten……

Lu Sicheng just quietly looked at her until she had finished all she wanted to say. Then he lightly said: “But this is somebody else’s cat now.”

“......” Tong Yao frowned again and suddenly lowered her voice: “I know. I can’t really steal it.”

Lu Sicheng paused for a moment.

He lifted his head to look beyond Tong Yao, then bluntly changed the subject: “How much longer for Dabing?”

Tong Yao took a look at Dabing, who was still struggling with the handler as if taking a bath would kill it, and relaxed her eyebrows a little. She looked at the clock in the shop and slightly sighed: “Who knows. They have to brush its hair afterwards, probably a little over an hour.”

“Then, I’ll wait for you in the car.”

“Eh? You don’t need to. I’ll go back myself…...What are you going to do sitting in the car for an hour?”

“I’ll watch some of OP’s competition videos. Time goes by fast that way.” Lu Sicheng walked towards the door while talking, but stopped after a few steps: “You want to come watch together?”

Tong Yao hesitantly took a look at the kitten next to her and was about to say nevermind. She heard Lu Sicheng speak again rather impatiently: “Make up your mind, quick. The air conditioning in the shop is set too low, I’m freezing.”

Tong Yao paused, checked the kitten sleeping on the mat which had nothing to cover it, then thought a bit before asking: “Then can I bring it with me to the car?”

Lu Sicheng had already pushed open the door. He replied before he walked out of the shop after hearing Tong Yao: “It’s up to you.” -- --Tong Yao didn’t expect the usually difficult Lu Sicheng to agree so easily. Somewhat surprised, she went to the worker in the shop to tell her if the owner of the kitten comes back, she could look for the kitten in the car parked in the front. Then Tong Yao brought the kitten with her and went to Lu Sicheng’s car.

Lu Sicheng had also turned on the air conditioning in the car, but hadn’t set the temperature too low. He also allowed Tong Yao to open the car window so the sunlight could shine directly onto the kitten which was lying on the mat on top of Tong Yao’s lap…...The kitten sneezed a few times, then seemed to breathe more easily with the warmth of the sunlight. Tong Yao stroked the kitten’s head with her fingertips while slightly squinting her eyes and turning her head sideways to watch the video on the cell phone in Lu Sicheng’s hand-- --

The sunlight was warm.

It was quiet inside the car.

There was only the sound of the commentators and the game.
