The Most Majestic You - Chapter 13 Part 1

The Most Majestic You
Chapter 13 Part 1

Qianxi certainly wouldn’t miss the chance to have a world champion tutor her.

She replied, “Sure, sure.” as she logged on to the game according to how they had taught her before.  Yet, she felt something was amiss.  “Do we need a mouse for this game……”

“Uhm.”

“But we don’t have mouse.”  The mice they carried were all professional ones for the competition and packed away in their checked luggage.

Xu Jimo’s voice was right next to her ear.  “That’s all right, we’re just get you familiar with the basics.  It doesn’t require high apm.  The touchpad is enough.”

Qianxi was very suspicious.  “Really……”  She had a close friend who played this game.  When she tried to convince her to play, Qianxi’s first question was “Can you play this game without a mouse?”  Her friend laughed at her for a month and always mentioned this incident whenever they were together with friends.  “Do you know what a newbie Qianxi is.  Last time I dragged her to play <The Continent>, she even asked me whether we needed a mouse to play, hahaha!”  Generally, the joke would receive good response, the listeners laughed so hard they seemed like wheat swaying in the wind.

Yet, today a living god told her that she could play without a mouse.

She really wanted to record it and throw it at her friend’s face!

While she was busy with her thoughts, Xu Jimo had already pulled up the hero select screen.

But the heroes she chose were all difficult to play.  “Is this one alright?”

“This one requires you to control five separate bodies.”

“......Then how about this?”

“This one summons ten monsters.”

“Does this game have any beginner friendly characters!”  She angrily dragged the mouse back and forth across the screen.  Finally, she chose one male character who looked pleasant enough.  “How about this?”

She was pointing to the white clothed spellcaster, Kael, which was his favorite character.

This one didn’t require the player to control multiple bodies, it could be done without a mouse……”Do you like this?”

“Uh-huh.”  All the other characters were something totally ridiculous! One was a dark green ghost without legs, another a monstrous dragon with two heads, and there was even a cockroach looking reptile…...only this one looked like a normal human.

But in order to be careful, she still asked timidly.  “Is he very difficult?”

“It’s all right.  He doesn’t really need a mouse.”

Xu Jimo entered a game.  Li Cang, sitting behind them, started to chat with Cheng Yang online.  “Damn.  Kael has always been ranked as the top three of the most difficult heroes to play.  How the hell is it beginner friendly? !”

Cheng Yang typed back.  “It’s the hero boss used to become famous.  He naturally thinks it’s easy.”

“Damn, there’s even a girl who likes someone like him?  I’m not convinced.”

“Li Cheng, I just screen capped this convo.  We’ll see what boss thinks after we get off the airplane :)”

Qianxi entered the game, then Xu Jimo let her play by herself.  But it was too hectic for her, by the time she finished buying all the items he recommended, it had taken one minute and fifty-three seconds.  The fourth wave of minions were almost all dead......

She was so upset, but Xu Jimo was acting very calmly.  He directed her onto mid and showed her all the basics, zoning, cs, attacking……

She had played the game several times before, but without any idea of what she was doing.  She didn’t expect that every action had so many details.  Luckily, she was a sharp learner.  Although somewhat helpless at the beginning, after a few tries, she became quite good at it.

Xu Jimo encouraged her.  “You’d play even more smoothly if you had a mouse.”

“Uhm, uhm!”  She had gotten the hang of it after a while and was leveling up by herself. Yet, she hadn’t tried any of his abilities.  She continued to ask him, but he never directly answered her.

Qianxi grew annoyed…...she was their 24 karat pure gold boss!  How could he lose his patience so quickly.  He even said he was going to teach her!

Then she found the whole world had turned upside down once she reached the 6th level.

All of a sudden she had an extra ten abilities.

Heaven…...wow…...what was all these QAQ?

She heard the man next to her lightly chuckle.

How dare he laugh at her?!  Qianxi stared at him angrily.

Xu Jimo began to patiently teach her again.  “This hero doesn’t have any ability before level six.  Now, you can create a new ability from any of these three elements. You can choose whichever lane you like and it can be different for every round.”

He began to explain to her patiently on each ability’s effects, usage, and the combination of elements to create it.  She almost fainted after listening to the explanation of ten abilities, so he had to demonstrate each ability one after the other.  He even show her several ability combos  for team fights.
Qianxi then realized that this hero was abnormally difficult------others had an average of three or four abilities and each ability took one press of a key.  But she had ten abilities, and each ability required the combination of 5 other keys.  She was dazzled by Xu Jimo’s fingers as they flew over the keyboard.  It was as if he was playing <Flight of the Bumble-Bee> on the keyboard.

Who knows what he meant when he said “It didn’t really need a mouse.”  He should’ve said that he was going to destroy the keyboard!

Qianxi had no choice but to memorize all the abilities as if she was studying for the MCAT.  Xu Jimo found that though she was still using the abilities fairly inaccurately, she had memorized all of them.

“You have good memory.”  He nodded in praise.

Why did she feel like she was being praised by her kindergarten teacher, it made her feel a little bit embarrassed, but also a little bit pleased…...

Qianxi shyly concentrated on playing and after a long match, she mostly understood how to use the ten abilities correctly.

Xu Jimo sincerely praised her.  “Actually, you are very talented.”

He had praised her throughout the game.  Though she was the kind of girl who would take it for granted after being praised once, she still blushed when he praised her so.

She shook her hand and was going to be humble a little bit.  “Not really~it’s the teacher who taught me so well~my close friend taught me how to play it before, but I just couldn’t play it well no matter how I tried.  Finally she saw I always died and didn’t want to play with me any more……”

“It’s a group game.  It’s pretty normal.”  He spoke understandingly.

What’s the matter…...shouldn’t he throw some sympathy her way?  Qianxi had difficulty finding a way out of her embarrassment, so she acted dumb.  “Anyhow you are really patient!”

“It’s all right.”

Do you know how to have a conversation with someone!

“I’m more patient with you.”

Ah?!

Qianxi hadn’t quite caught what he had said.  He was already putting on a neck pillow in preparation to sleep.  Xu Jimo noticed that she kept staring at him.  He raised his eyelids.  “Do you want me to teach you more?”

“No, no.  You still have training games after we get off the airplane.  It’s important that you get some rest!”  She turned and force herself to watch the screen.  She touched and poked, but she didn’t press the start button.

Without him teaching…...she actually didn’t quite want to play.

Fortunately, Xu Jimo didn’t notice her unusual reaction; he had already closed his eyes and fallen asleep.

He seemed to sleep quite well…...perhaps, he was used the stress of a life spent flying here and there all the time.
