The two remained silent, Xu Jimo treated Wei Lai as if he was air.  His KDA (Kill/Death/Assist) numbers kept rapidly changing.  Just like his ID “Kill” indicated, he was a legendary killer in the <Seventh Continent> circle.

Xu Jimo played “Kael”, the third most difficult hero from over a hundred heroes in <Seventh Continent>.  Using three base elements, Kael can combine them to cast ten different abilities.  It required the player to maintain a high APM (actions per minute), reaction speed and map awareness.  Wei Lai watched his slender fingers fly over the mechanical keyboard at an amazing speed.  Each spell was connected perfectly and he wiped out any who stood in his way despite lacking two players on his side.  The words “Rampage” flashed on screen, he had pushed into the enemy’s base in fifteen minutes.

How scary…...how depressed was the boss today that he would turn the fish pond into a bloodbath…...

As Wei Lai was still wondering, Xu Jimo had already turned around after finishing a round. “Are you looking for me?”

“Well……”  What had Cheng Yang and Li Cang taught him?  Wei Lai recollected the lines once again, then he recited it word by word.  “Boss, don’t feel bad.  The International Invitational Tournament is coming soon.  As long as we can enter the official competition, then we can live on prize money for quite a while.”

It was even more annoying bringing this topic up, because KG was a new team without the qualifications for the official international competition.  They had to start from the qualifying matches.

Xu Jimo could only said “en” when facing these boys who trusted him wholeheartedly.

They didn’t noticed that Cheng Yang had poked half of his head through the door.  “Right, right.  Boss, trust us.  We surely have the skills to hold fourth place and fight for first place!”

Li Cang poked his head in above Cheng Yang’s head.  “That’s right.  It is easier to negotiate a sponsorship when we have a good record.”

“Enough.  You all go eat and leave the sponsorship issue to me.”  Boss finally spoke, so the boys outside the door all dispersed.  Wei Lai, who was 160 cm tall, walked out of the room while turning to look back repeatedly with every step.

The room was quiet again.  Xu Jimo lit a cigarette and quietly thought about recent events. He had come back, organized a new team, had to qualify for competitions, win at TI…...he had to solve the financing problem shortly.

He took out a name card from the drawer: Ye Qianxi, Yinyuan Investments Planning Department Director.

A very aggressive person with a childish face floated to the surface of his mind, and then…...their encounter in the hallway.

Frankly speaking, she indeed was the easiest target with the best chance to get a sponsorship compared to other experienced investors.

He typed her 11 digit cellphone number from the bottom of her card into the search box on WeChat. Sure enough, he did find a WeChat account nicknamed “Domineering Woman CEO”.

“......”  Xu Jimo had an impulse to put away his cell.

After he mentally struggled for a while, he still pressed the key to send a friend request.

She quickly accepted his request.

When Qianxi received this request, she was listening to her dad, the Chairman of Board, doing his routine interrogation.

Her dad asked,  “How do you feel working there after the first week?”  “Are you getting used to the work environment?”  “Are you satisfied with the arranged assistant?”  “Do you like the office?”

Qianxi kept nodding obediently.  “Good”,  “En”, “It’s fine”, “I like it”.  Her finger accidentally touched “Accept” because she was constantly nodding her head.

She only realized afterwards.  What?  Xu Jimo?  Why did he add her?

Qianxi looked at the name and couldn’t help thinking of his cold face and eyes.  In her imagination, his face suddenly became enchanting and charming with a line of words on it.  “Request to be taken advantage of.”

She didn’t have a good feeling about it at all!

Her dad stared at her angrily.  “Why did you dump your cell?  Are you listening to me?”

“I am listening, I am listening, I am listening!”  Qianxi kept nodding her head.  She hurriedly picked up her phone and continued to listen to his lecture obediently.

The screen popped out a new WeChat message------”Do you have time this weekend?”

Uh? !  She nervously typed in a question mark.  “?”

This single punctuation mark felt to Xu Jimo that she was looking down on him with cold eyes.

Xu Jimo didn’t respond for a while, but he bashfully re-opened the screen again after he saw his teammates playing around in the living room.

This was the first time in his life that he had ever felt so nervous, and he texted the girl.  “If you have time…...I want to buy you dinner.”

Xu Jimo had an inexplicable feeling that he was using his looks as leverage.  As if to comfort himself that this was not the case, he typed the next line in quickly.  “I don’t mean anything else. It is just for the sponsorship.  I want to chat with you more.”

Qianxi looked at it.  Oh, overtime work.

“Ok.”
